Per @NHC_Atlantic, #Isaias is quickly intensifying over the Gulf this afternoon. Now a 65mph Tropical Storm. Hurricane, Tropical Storm, and Storm Surge Watches are up along the northern Gulf Coast

Good morning. #Isaias has formed over the Gulf as of this morning. And is expected to rapidly intensify in a favorable environment marked with high moisture, warm SSTs, and low wind shear.

Watches are likely to be issued some time on Wednesday for portions of the Gulf coast. Still too early to say exactly where landfall will take place, and the storm is expected to grow in size, so all residents from the Florida Panhandle to Louisiana should remain alert

11pm ET/10 CT update on TD 9, soon to become #Isaias. Forecasted to become a tropical storm Weds and a #hurricane before landfall. Currently forecasted to landfall along the north-central Gulf coast with wind/rain impacts for the western Panhandle at this time.

Conditions are favorable for near rapid intensification over waters in the mid-80s and low shear. However, as the system moves north and approaches the coast, shear is expected to increase. Regardless, this system is expected to remain a hurricane through landfall.

@gregauman I get what you’re saying. But in any job, if I mess up and take accountability for it, change is expected from my boss. So far we’re not seeing any changes from the Bucs. The games are still being called the same way, the mistakes/penalties in critical situations still happen
