@laurenmcl94 Same! I used to be texting all the time, and my teachers would constantly ask me who I was texting. In retrospect, I kind of wish I payed more attention and talked to my classmates more.
@Qu_ConU It definitely does. It provides a platform for them to approach their peers at any time. They can talk to as many guys or girls as they want at once.
@FabianChris2018 I think that roasting is something you do between friends. I'd drop mean things on my friends, knowing that they know I'm joking, but I couldn't go up to a stranger and be a dick to them without expecting repercussions.
@ashleyberdowski Even if you delete posts, chances are someone already saw them, and there's a record of it somewhere. It's hard to have an opinion and a clean record these days.
@mmonaco307 I believe there was an update to the snapchat terms of use a few months ago which basically stated that all snaps are property of snapchat, and they could sell the images as they see fit.
@mmonaco307 We're being pinned with the blame of the world being constantly distracted when really marketing isn't targeting us alone, but all of society. It's much more profitable to target adults with a steady income than it is to target millennials with all of our money problems.
@adiplacido18 And with so many tools to verify information, news can become more accurate. Though that doesn't seem to be the case for all news networks.
@Qu_ConU There's a difference between caring what others think, and letting what others think affect you. The former is important, not because you should worry about other people's opinions, but because empathy is important. The latter is more of a delicate matter.
@EliCohen307 I have an oldschool webcam on my desktop computer, and I have it deliberately pointed at something stupid. Come to think of it, there are pictures of Mark Zuckerberg himself covering his laptop camera with tape.
@tarek_tayeh I would imagine it would have a low pass rate, due to the students overestimating their computer knowledge. It's very important to be informed about these things. We could implement into Ethics class.
I know a few artists online that are complete jerks, though the things they produce are top-notch. It would be childish of me to force myself to hate their work because I don't care for them. If I enjoy a piece of music, I feel that any ideas promoted by their are moot.
Adolf Hitler was a painter, though to discredit his art work because he was an awful person is unfair to the work. I am a solemn believer that no matter how wicked a person is, their art is separate from them, and should be appreciated as though it were made anonymously.
