Thrilled to announce that I have been appointed as a Public Director on the @AIANational 2026 Board of Directors. Happy to have been at the inauguration of my friend, Illya Azaroff, as 102nd President of the AIA last evening. He brings great vision and change to this venerable institution. Proud to call him friend! #AIA
Continuing to support Ukraine as they commemorate their 34th Independence Day. Praying for peace to return and for Ukraine to remain strong. Slava Ukraini!
Finished my final support to the Defense Information School on Ft Meade today. 10 years helping with the Joint Contingency PA Course. A privilege that gave me such joy to help train the next generation of military PA leaders. Great memories and great people. #publicaffairs
Happy whenever I get a chance to get back to Australia and proud to be part of such an outstanding event. #emc2025 @ESF_Victoria https://t.co/tNnsyIKk4h
Always happy to get back to the schoolhouse to support military PAO training. Another Joint Contingency PA Course graduation today at the Defense Information School on Ft Meade. The next gen of PAs are smart and strong!
Mr. President, Ukraine did not “start” this war. Russia launched an unprovoked and brutal invasion claiming hundreds of thousands of lives. The Road to Peace must be built on the Truth.🇺🇸🇺🇦

@amandacomms Thrilled to have you on the International Committee! Looking forward to great work together this year. More than ever, the world needs experienced emergency and crisis communicators and you’re one of the best!
Excellent lay down of Russia’s #disinformation campaign against Ukraine. We are in the age of information and hybrid warfare. It’s essential we understand this and fight to gain information advantage. Kudos to @JPLindsley for his reporting.
🎯 I’m an American reporting daily from Ukraine on Chicago’s WGN Radio.
I’ve lived—and escaped—the heart of the Neocon, Paleocon, and Fox News worlds in DC and Austin. I learned the art of communication from the man who helped elect Nixon, Reagan, and H.W. Bush.
But after fleeing Fox News—literally, in a car chase—I rejected the deep state’s manipulation of our politics.
That’s why I understand exactly why many Americans—especially those close to Trump—hesitate to support Ukraine.
What I’m about to share is the Kremlin’s worst nightmare. Save this thread to understand.
💡 Rule #1 of informational war club: Don’t whine about propaganda. Dig into its roots—because the best propaganda always exploits real, justified emotions.
@JPLindsley Well done and clear lay down of Russian disinformation campaign and false narratives. Sadly they have been somewhat successful in their aims in the U.S. Following you and sharing this thread.
So proud of this guy! @imjamesdavis celebrated the 5 year anniversary of his #strategic#communication company @TouchdownStrat1 (https://t.co/K9MAazwvwi). We’ve been friends and colleagues for 20 years and I’ve watched him grow professionally and as a business leader. Happy anniversary James! Here’s to many more years of success!
Privileged to speak on the same agenda with global thought leaders of crisis and risk communication, Dr Vincent Covell and Dr @wtcoombs and other amazing speakers like @rebeccabultsma and Nick Manning and Rebecca Elming of @UWaterloo. Spoke about countering #disinformation during #crisis and #disaster. Many thanks to Benjamin Morgan and @Centre4Crisis for the invite to the Crisis Compass symposium in Calgary, Canada on Oct 24-25.
Proud to be a part of @MinorityVets and to have been able to participate in the ribbon cutting last Wednesday for the nation’s first transitional housing program for LGBTQ+ veterans helping them transition from homelessness to permanent housing. This MVA program will provide a safe environment, a respectful welcome and help with case management and access to veterans resources. Wonderful to have members of Congress (Reps Pramila Jayapal and Adam Smith), senior staff for the House Veterans Affairs Committee (John Harry), White House Office of Public Engagement (Tahina Montoya), Dept of Veterans Affairs (Dr Maria Llorente, Dep Asst Undersecretary for Health), State of Washington Dept of Veterans Affairs (Director David Puente), King County officials (Dow Constantine, County Executive; Meghan Stanley, Veterans Administrator) and REI (Roma McCaig, VP Public Affairs and Impact) all participate in the ceremony. Big shout out to Lindsey Church (MVA Executive Director), Eric Ballentine (MVA People to People Program Manager), Jacqueline McCrief (P2P Program Coordinator), Ash Wallis (MVA team), Melissa Boatwright (MVA Board) and many other MVA teammates as well as many veterans and supporters from the region.

Had a great discussion this morning with Anni Fordham, who is the Manager for Public Information with the Western Australian Department of Fire and Emergency Services @dfes_wa. We spoke about the challenges with Public Information and Alerts and Warnings, including access for traditionally underserved communities, improving messages, looking at the systems and how to measure effectiveness. Was a pleasure to reconnect with Anni who I had met at an Emergency Media and Public Affairs conference in Perth a few years back. She's traveling the globe on a Churchill Fellowship and gathering amazing and really valuable insights into how we can do better and how the global EM communicator community can share best practices and ideas. Many thanks for the opportunity, Anni! Hope to see you in Oz in the future!
