DO = full medical degree; it has more value & power than a PhD. DOs & MDs train in ACGME residencies. They qualify for same exams. Research better.

What is the vetting process? If they don't have to pass the USMLE to obtain a license, why must American physicians do that? Why would anyone bother with a rigorous medical education and training in the US?

@txsportsdoc Here is the bill. USMLE, while not explicit, will certainly be a requirement as Board will establish it under power given. For any foreign grads lurking: passing USMLE and even getting into a bad residency program will give better employment. Read for yourself of restrictions.
