Think of the hospitals! The schools! The single-payer dreams evaporating faster than his credibility during the Russia hoax! “It isn’t worth the costs,” he wails, as if fiscal prudence suddenly materialized the second a Republican was dropping bombs on mullahs who chant “Death to America” while building centrifuges.

Meanwhile, let’s play Schiff’s favorite game: hypothetical budgeting. Sure, the conventional war is costing billions. But imagine the alternative Adam seems allergic to acknowledging: Iran successfully detonating a nuclear device on, say, Tel Aviv or a U.S. base.
We’re talking trillions in instant costs—hundreds of thousands (or millions) dead, irradiated cities, global markets in freefall, endless cleanup, refugee waves, and probably a few more “forever wars” as the entire Middle East glows in the dark. Not to mention the hilarious irony of Shifty Schiff’s party having spent years downplaying Iran’s nuclear ambitions while cozying up to the “Death to America” crowd.
