@dubyte It’s very hard, but you have to have a routine and follow it. Creativity can’t be forced but you can always fall back on routine. When you show up consistently, creativity has a vehicle.
@phil_eaton The ES API is, unfortunately, one of those examples of a terrible API that folks are forced to live with just because the product itself is so good. What’s worse, most libraries don’t do more than pass the buck on to the user instead of abstracting away the pain.
@phil_eaton One of my main objections to EJB was all the “magic” involved. There’s a kind of reflection/indirection that makes you lose sight of what’s going on. Here’s a good article from Joel Spolsky https://t.co/1DKVzPig85
@codywanner I mean when you get a speaking gig or consulting contract are you able to track which videos helped to get it? The AdSense income is low enough, but you prolly generate “secondary” income from a different ranking.
@codywanner I think YT knows I click on your videos. There was a time when my feed had a lot of vlogs in it. Now it’s basically just you. I would say I get 1/3 to 1/2 of your vids in my feed.
@omg_its_derek @codywanner@SonyAlpha@iz_harris Don’t beat yourself up! Filmmaking is about story telling, not camera tricks. But this shot would have required a person manually pulling focus (like Cody used to do) to make it work so smoothly before. Shot angles that weren’t possible open up.
