I clocked out 20 minutes late last Tuesday and almost kept walking.
Room 412. Mr. Z, 74, post-op day three. Quiet man. Barely spoke except to say “thank you” when we adjusted his pillows.
That night he was staring at the ceiling like it had answers. I asked if he needed anything. He said, “Just… sit for a minute? My wife used to sit like that after dinner. We didn’t even have to talk.”
So I sat.
He told me they used to grow tomatoes on a tiny balcony. How she’d name every plant. How he still talks to the empty chair at breakfast.
We didn’t discuss labs or pain scores. I just stayed until his breathing evened out.
The next morning he was different. Still quiet, but he looked at me when I came in. “You sat,” he said. “Most people don’t.”
That’s the part of this job that never shows up in the chart: the minutes that aren’t billed, documented, or heroic. Just two people in a room, one of them remembering they still exist as more than a diagnosis.
I think about that chair a lot now.
If you’re a nurse, you already know. If you’re not, sometimes the medicine is just staying.
Legal money income will afford your bills... But illegal money income will afford your bills & that big luxurious lifestyle you crave for.
Choose wisely.
May the Lord Brighton our day as that of Arsenal.
May He walk us straight into pure 3-0 Ws
of Money, Peace and Long Life.
And deliver us completely from every 3-0 Ls
of toxic women, endless bills, and Sapa 💸🚫
Amen.
Happy Sunday Amigos
MANCHESTER UNITED THE OTELE CLUB 🔴🔴
Ladies and gentlemen gathering here today to discuss man united is an absolute honor mostly because watching them over the last few years has provided more free entertainment than a circus on a budget..
There was a time when the mere mention of Manchester united struck fear into the hearts of opposition fan's old Trafford was a fortress, opponents were beaten in the tunnel and Sir Alex Ferguson was ruling the league with an iron fist..fast forward to today, and old Trafford isn't a fortress anymore..it's a historic landmark where mid- table teams go to pick up a casual three points and enjoy the stadium roof leaking on them
Let's talk about the rebuilds Manchester united has been in a transition phase for over a decade they've spent well over a billion pounds cycling through managers like they're swiping on tinder and what do they have to show for it? A trophy cabinet that relies heavily on nostalgia and a carabao cup victory celebratd like a world cup win every summer it's the same story we're back every November it's technically mathematically top four is still possible
And the transfer oh the transfer united doesn't just sign players they adopt high priced projects they pay premium prices for talent, hand out wages package that look like telephone number and somehow watch world class stars turn into average weekends footballers the second they put on that red shirt it's the only club where a player's market value drops 49% the exact moment they hold up the jersey
Their tactical strategy over recent years has been fascinating. It's a bold combination of pass to whoever is standing closest and hope the individual quality saves us in the 93th minutes when that fails the analysis is always simple the standards need to be higher and we must learn from this if Manchester united actually learned from their mistakes they'd be running NASA by now
So here's to Manchester united the richest meme factory in the world football proof that money can't buy chemistry and the absolute gift that keeps on giving to every rival fan on the planet
