I'M GIVING AWAY THE META AUDIT I CHARGE FOUNDERS $3,500 FOR. DATA FROM 41 SAAS AND APP ACCOUNTS, ALL BELOW
Your ad opens in Instagram's browser, not Safari. Almost nobody tests signup there. 29 of the 41 broke on at least one:
1. "Continue with Google" is dead in there. Google blocks sign-in inside embedded browsers and shows "403: disallowed_useragent". Hide the button when the user agent contains "Instagram" or "FBAN" and offer email + a 6-digit code
2. Magic links kill the session. The email opens in Safari, the half-finished signup is stuck in Instagram. Send a code they type, not a link
3. Your returning users look logged out. That browser keeps its own cookies, so a retargeted trial user lands on "Create account". Exclude active users or send them to /login
4. Compare "Link clicks" to "Landing page views" in Ads Manager. A gap over 25% means the page never finished loading in that browser. The ad is fine
5. The pixel misses the sale when they finish in Safari or in your app. Send signup and upgrade through the Conversions API with the hashed email and the fbc value you saved at signup
6. Can't ship a fix this week? Show in-app visitors one line at the signup step: "Tap ··· (top right) and open this in your browser"
No signup, no call. Steal it.
I'd start with #1: DM your landing page to yourself on Instagram, tap it, press the Google button. 2 minutes.

"We're testing 40 creatives this week."
Translation:
We have no idea why people buy, so we're uploading random videos and hoping Meta figures it out for us.
There are 2 kinds of founders running ads right now.
Founder A emails 10 recent buyers and asks one question: "What almost stopped you?" The same 3 answers keep coming back. A makes 3 ads per answer. 9 ads, each one testing a reason.
Founder B builds a content team for $25k to $50k a month, signs 50 creators, ships 700 ads a month through one media buyer, and waits for Meta to explain why people buy.
Founder B also gets a thread calling it "the most insane paid ads program in Silicon Valley."
Founder B needs 700 ads a month to learn what Founder A got from 10 emails.
@SergiuszBuilds 1. Find UGC formats that your competitors are running
2. Copy the format and record variations yourself
3. Run 2-3 tiktok accounts with just you posting the content
$0 but a whole lotta effort

I went through the first-day data on 73 apps that are now past $10k MRR.
In every one, the people who paid had done one thing in their first session that almost nobody else did. I call it the tell.
It's different in every app. 3 steps find yours in an afternoon:
1. Export first-session events for your last 200 payers and 200 people who never paid.
2. Find the event payers did at least 3x as often. In a habit app it was "set a reminder". In a photo app, "exported 1 photo".
Say 30% of payers exported a photo and 5% of everyone else did. That's 6x. That's your tell.
3. Rebuild onboarding so every new user hits it before the paywall shows.
Skip any event only payers can do, like opening billing. Paying causes that one.
The 15 moves for after the tell are in the article below.
I'm picking 2 apps this month to run my $4,500 sprint on, free. Retweet + comment your app's name and I'll dm you (follow so i can dm).
