"it is a surprising model. on every technical benchmark we ran it was neck and neck or better than astra, fable and opus."
"meta is going to win consumer agents in a landslide."
@JahangirAsgha10 There is a reason I opted out of insurance and the insanity of the typical health system. And it's not all monetary.
We agree that physician salaries are not the *real* issue.
@PaleoOnc@NinaMinister@JahangirAsgha10 A better way is my argument.
Keep focusing on the corruption and administrative costs.
Probably mentioning what percentage actually goes to the doctor is effective...
@NateAnglin My annual passes just expired. Doesn't include Epic but you do get a little discount on the day tickets.
I've been 7 times.
It's my favorite park.
You have to understand what it is and what it's not. If you embrace what it is, best park ever. But doesn't hit for everyone.
@NateAnglin I've argued that it's a bargain despite the "high" prices.
You get access to billions of dollars in infrastructure and labor for a few hundred bucks.
You make it to Epic yet?
@PaleoOnc@NinaMinister@JahangirAsgha10 We probably agree quite a bit. It's a super deep topic that's difficult to get into through short comments.
I think doctors like Dr Ashgar should be paid like sports superstars, quite frankly.
@theaaron@Muse It's not guaranteed yet, right?
And who knows how soon free gets it too?
I love Muse and free offers so much I haven't felt any desire to upgrade.
@brent_e_trader Adult life for sure but for my kids I'm dead set on making sure their childhood is near perfection. Though I fail regularly and hope I did well enough.
The cost of living is very high there...
That's factored in.
But it's a culture that doesn't want for so much, like the US...
And we are seeing a surge of voters that want something more like that...
Which is why if you want doctors to be paid more, then you should care about the messaging as voters can and will ultimately decide much of this and where healthcare is headed.
I'll go back to a previous comment.
Be careful what you wish for.
Denmark is such a perfect example.
The government controls the education side, and makes it free (actually pays you to go)... So there is plenty of demand. They can easily avoid shortages. In fact, their shortages are budgetary, not lack of people willing to be educated and work in the field.
Yet even with collective bargaining, Danish doctors make half what American doctors do today, and that's accounting for the medical debt...
So there are solutions that we know solve this problem and cut costs significantly.
I don't like that solution. Which is why I'm saying that there are likely better ways to resolve the pay issues other than trying to convince average people that doctors making $450k isn't enough. That's tone deaf and won't result in better pay.
Just like people who argue waiters shouldn't get tips and be paid a fair wage. Sounds great, until you realize that would be a significant paycut as the tipping system is lucrative as hell.
Study of nearly 5,500 adults over 60 in China.
The ones who ate meat at least daily had 30 percent lower odds of frailty.
That's significant for longevity.
The meat haters are all arguing about heart disease.
Nobody in that debate is thinking about falling over and breaking bones.
Heart disease is not a given, but frailty can be.

I'm getting model fatigue.
These updates are weekly now.
I think within 6 - 12 months, we'll be significantly more focused on the products themselves than the models.
