Here’s the thing nobody wants to say out loud. It doesn’t suck, but you can’t win a championship recruiting at this level. Making the CFP is the ceiling. No matter who the coach is Tennessee will still bring in a class in this range. This is the baseline for Tennessee.
To this day it is baffling that this hire ever occurred. In the wake of Kiffin’s departure, Mike Hamilton (RIP) made one of the all-time worst rebound/panic hires in college history. It still feels like he was so panicked that he just decided to hire the first person willing to answer his call, regardless of qualifications. I think there is a decent chance that if I had run into Hamilton before he spoke to Dooley I could have parlayed my CFB dynasty at Air Force into the job.
They list 32 QBs (same as number of #NFL teams) and yet the Titans aren’t even mentioned. Signature #Titans media coverage. For my 2 cents I would place Cam Ward in the “Too Early to Tell” tier
Just an insane accomplishment by the #ThunderUp. Winning the #NBAFinals at a market like OKC is nearly impossible. This is like Charlotte or Sacramento winning the title. Don’t take Sam Presti for granted.
SI did an in-depth look into the #Titans’ upcoming season. While not coming right out and saying it, the general takeaway is something we have been saying for a while, the Titans have placed themselves in a position where all hope for improvement falls squarely on Cam Ward. That’s a tough position to be put into as a rookie QB.
This is one of the funniest and most depressing recruiting stories of all time. Hilarious because Jeremy Pruitt sat outside of the wrong house like Paulie Walnuts for multiple days while @Lane_Kiffin snuck up to AJ’s window. Depressing because Tennessee later hired Pruitt as HC.

Will Levis is in a league of his own when it comes to creating sacks and turnover-worthy plays. Levis is one of the biggest outliers I have seen in a graph like this.
This is exactly what I addressed in my last tweet, although I tried to synthesize it all down into one tweet. This isn’t a good thing for athletes attacking NCAA eligibility restrictions, but it remains to be seen how the court will take the DOJ’s brief into account.
News of Randy Johnson’s number retirement feels like a great time to remind everyone that the Big Unit has completely reinvented himself as a successful professional photographer, shooting everything from Metallica concerts to wildlife to NFL Games.
Athlon Sports projects the #Vols to finish 10th in the SEC and 21st overall. I might flip OU and UT but I don’t have many complaints with this. There are so many unknowns going into the season. Aguilar needs to prove that he’s more than just a guy to consider much more. Thoughts?
