Cardano × Injective: The First Live Onchain Rail

For the first time, @Cardano and @injective are directly connected.

On August 3rd, 2026, Injective became the first blockchain to open a live onchain IBC rail to Cardano (currently live on testnet). This allows $ADA and $INJ to move between the two ecosystems.

Here’s how the connection works, step by step:

-> Two previously separate chains can now communicate directly through the IBC protocol.

-> A secure pathway (the rail) has been established between Cardano preprod and Injective testnet.

When tokens are sent from one side:

-> They are locked on the originating chain.

-> An equivalent representation is created on the destination chain.

To move them back:

-> The representation is burned.

-> The original tokens are released on the starting chain.

-> No third-party custodian holds the assets. The two chains verify each other directly.

-> Transfers work in both directions: $ADA can move to Injective, and $INJ can move to Cardano.

This is an early but important milestone. It marks the first live onchain rail of its kind between Cardano and any other blockchain, opening the door for future cross-ecosystem liquidity and use cases once it reaches mainnet.

what most people don't understand is LATAM isn't one market.

it's 9+ countries:

each with its own different culture, regulations, payment rails, and way of doing business.

everyone wants a piece of the LATAM market, but very few are actually putting real boots on the ground:
