Testing the new Codex / ChatGPT app with the Sol model "high" and the so called fast mode honestly it feels like garbage. I don’t see any speed difference with or without fast mode, it's incredibly slow either way and just burns through usage quota faster without improving latency. Openai team, please check this right now "fast" mode looks more like "fast drain" mode than faster responses.

That’s a fair perspective, but I think it’s a bit idealistic to ignore the trade offs. Yes, AI will democratize access and unlock areas we couldn’t explore before, but it also compresses the value of many existing skills. When something becomes easier and more accessible, it typically becomes less differentiated.

So while new opportunities will emerge, existing roles won’t remain unaffected especially in fields like software development where AI can already handle a large portion of the work. It’s not about being narrow-minded; it’s about recognizing that technological shifts both create and displace value at the same time.

These kinds of shitty engagement posts are ruining the credibility of X. Everyone is asking the Mythos model to build a CRUD app, and within a day or two they start bragging about releasing the “next model.” Is there any way to completely hide these kinds of AI hype posts?
