Before you start a business, please I am begging you, work in a structured place.
A lot of people start businesses after being a successful freelancer but have zero context on how organisations work.
The only way to make money is to stop thinking about yourself long enough to start creating a solution to somebody.
"...but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant."
- Matthew 20:26
"You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."
- Zig Ziglar
This plays out in every facet of life - work, business, family, church, friendships and politics.
Oh yes, politics too.
I was with my friend, Hon. @akinalabi yesterday and as we discussed, I saw a lot how this assertion also plays out in politics.
This doesn't mean you have to be anyone slave, or worship them, or be beholden to them forever.
What it means is people don't care about you until they know you care about them/their desires/dreams/goals.
So, stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about how you can pour into others, so they can in turn pour into you.
How can you serve them by:
- loving them better (family/friends)?
- solving their problems (business)?
- connecting them to God more/giving them hope over life's issues (church)?
- creating profitable output (work)?
- putting them in positions of power, real or imagined (politics)?
In most of these cases, your service will be compensated with money as an exchange of said service, and the better you get at providing this and the more people you do it for, the higher your income becomes.
So, if you want to make money, STOP THINKING ABOUT YOURSELF.
What I have learnt this year:
The reason why we fall into sin again and again is because we think we can erase it out of our lives by fighting against it.
That's the hard way.
The easy and best way is to just do what God says in the Bible, which is:
1. "Run away from sin like you would from a snake: If you go near it, it will bite you. Its teeth are lion's teeth, destroying a person's life."
- Ecclesiasticus (Sirach) 21:2
2. "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
- James 4:7
3. "Be alert, be on watch! Your enemy, the Devil, roams around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour."
- 1 Peter 5:8
4. "So then, let us rid ourselves of everything that gets in the way, and of the sin which holds on to us so tightly, and let us run with determination the race that lies before us. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end."
- Hebrews 12: 1-2
5. "Run away from the evil things that young people long for."
- 2 Timothy 2:22
So, brethren, flee from the devil. Don't try to fight him. Just stay/run away from anything that will bring him in touch with you.

Ales Hormozi is right.
If someone makes more money than you, they are definitely better at the game of business than you in some way.
Pocket your pride. Learn from them.
Tech is NOT about being able to use a computer for anything. It is about helping people to use technology and products derived from technology to improve their lives. The person who has been in the destruction of life business isn't going to help people to live better lives.
Nigerians are hilarious, man!!
I once wrote something with a group of people in mind and another identical and tribalistic group took offense and bitched for days about it. They also hate each other but don’t know how similar they are.
Many Nigerians are just wicked people.
In my interview with @highzeekart for @MyAfrikaMag, he speaks about his art, his truth and his journey as a young and budding visual artist in Nigeria. Check out this exclusive.
EXCLUSIVE: Deola Olatunji (DO) speaks with Highzeek Asiko (HA) about his passion for visual arts, the challenges he has faced and continues to face, and what the future holds for him as a visual artist.
Art is more than just a visual expression—it is a voice, a movement, and a reflection of life itself. Few embody this philosophy as deeply as Babajide Isaac Temitayo, better known as Highzeek Asiko. Through his masterful use of charcoal, graphite, and paint, he creates stunning works that explore emotions, social issues, and personal connections... https://t.co/CIgQUdI1ef
