22/23/24 hr bang up not good for anyone. Is the prison service looking at this long term because of staffing issues? Before some governor jumps on this telling me there isnt a problem, landing staff are telling me, not just in one nick, that they can see this being the norm?

My brother was given a 2.5 year sentence for fighting, this was to be the worst day of his life, as he was given an IPP. He is still in prison 15 years later. He was in his early 20’s when he received this.

Watching german doc on young offenders. 8 unlocked together, cook together, play sports, 1 female supervisor. Officers not on the units. Companies set up work within prison paying 50/60 euros a week! Same prison buildings as uk. Answers out there ffs!!!!
