Sixteen kittens, three to four weeks old, dumped in a cardboard box outside a church.

Rome, Georgia. The kittens were found abandoned at Shorter Avenue Baptist Church on August 8. Itzhel Guadalupe Reyes-Cruz, 23, was arrested this week and charged with 16 counts of abandonment of animals, one for every kitten in that box.

Sixteen lives that couldn't survive on their own, left in a box like trash on a church doorstep. Sixteen counts is the least this deserves.

🚨 ANIMAL CRUELTY CONVICTION

Rebecca Ferguson, 24, from Moray admitted causing unnecessary suffering to Nancy, a two-year-old Cockapoo found skeletal, covered in faeces and suffering anaemia, fleas, ear mites and periodontal disease.

Vets said she had likely not been fed for weeks.

Ferguson received 120 hours’ unpaid work, one year’s supervision and a 10-year animal ownership ban.

Nancy has since made a full recovery and been rehomed. 🐾

A trucker left his dog chained to the side of a Peterbilt in a downpour.

Not for a minute. An hour. Maybe longer. The dog is on the battery box, soaked, then jumps into the standing water and runs the length of the leash like it is trying to get out of its own skin. The cab is right there. The driver is not.

The door says Diamond Express, Spearman, Texas. USDOT 3968735. That number is on the truck for a reason. Companies do not get to hide behind a logo while a dog sits in the rain like cargo.

You do not bring an animal on the road so you can park it outside while you eat. Call the company. Call animal control where this lot is. Make them answer for it.

Chandler James is a Lowndes County man now facing a first degree dog and cat cruelty charge after a small dog died in Shelby County.

The cause was blunt force trauma. A Birmingham veterinary hospital fought to save the dog. The injuries were too severe.

Detectives in Calera built the case and got a warrant. James turned himself in at the Shelby County Jail, posted a $5,000 bond, and walked out.

The dog does not get a bond option, a vet who tries everything, or a walk out the front door. It just does not get to exist anymore.

First degree cruelty is the right charge. Make sure it is the charge that survives to sentencing, not something bargained down to a fine.

Her name was Dominique Moody.

She was 6 years old.

She was locked in a dog crate and starved for over a year in Charlotte NC.

She was bound in duct tape and wrapped in plastic.

She was bitten by rats in a home with no heat and feces in every room.

She weighed just 27 pounds when she passed away.

Her "caretakers" forced little Dominique to watch them eat, while starving her.

They made her sit in her own urine and feces until she had open wounds.

When police found her, she had multiple broken bones. Burns. Open wounds and scars across most of her body.

She lived like that for OVER A YEAR.

Police were called 50 TIMES before she died.

Nothing happened.

The women who were her "caretakers" were arrested 10 PREVIOUS TIMES.

🚨 Absolutely abhorrent.

A 21-year-old "Huddersfield" man has appeared in court accused of leaving a dog in the boot of a car for around 48 hours during extreme heat.

The poor animal was reportedly left without proper care while temperatures soared.

If proven, this is beyond irresponsible it’s utterly disgraceful.

Animals rely on us to protect them. They deserve better than this. 🐶😡

They ran an unlicensed boarding house where 18 dogs starved and dead animals piled up.

You drop your dog off trusting someone to feed him. These people took that money and let animals die. Hannah Perry, Melanie Norem and Donna Perry, each face 8 felony and 8 misdemeanor cruelty counts from Glen Carbon, Illinois, after police pulled 18 dogs on Aug 21 and found dehydration, starvation, and bodies in and outside the house.

The three were later found in a motel in West Sullivan, Missouri. A dog named Chance was supposed to be in that house and is still missing. Police say there is evidence he is dead.

That is not a business. That is a killing floor with a sign on it. Hold them.
