We serve a God "who puts the margins at the center of his concern, not only to bring about individual transformation but justice as well"

[Rebecca Slagh @rebeccaslagh]

@getawaycarvic Torn between august, betty, and mad woman 🔥

[Jason Sampler 🔜ers @DrSampler]

What if last night’s Opening Ceremony had nothing to do with the Last Supper but was, instead, the opening of the Greek Games paying homage to a Greek god?

If you’re a Christian, save your “persecution complex” for actual persecution. https://t.co/4GJjniznGI

[Carlos A. Rodríguez @CarlosHappyNPO]

Jesus did not call his followers to defend Christianity; he called them to defend the poor, the marginalized, the oppressed, and the hurting.

Stop wasting time being offended. Get to feeding, and healing, and peace making.

[Casey (she/her) @MamaSissieSays]

I just overheard someone say “I’m not voting for Kamala Harris because she is a woman, I’m voting for Kamala Harris because I AM a woman”

This needs to be said more.

@jimmyfallon Cars - A celebrity, lost in the wilderness, is kidnapped by the eccentric residents of a ghost town, held captive, and forced to work for them. Will he ever make it home? #MakeAMovieSoundScary

[Danté Stewart (Stew) @stewartdantec]

If Jesus stood with and protected the marginalized, then why do so many Christians stand with and protect the powerful?

[Shannon Watts @shannonrwatts]

After sixteen people were killed in a hot air balloon in Lockhart, Texas, Ted Cruz authored and passed federal legislation improving safety rules.

I guess that's not because laws don't work, but because there's no hot air balloon lobby funding his Senate seat. #txlege

[Carlos A. Rodríguez @CarlosHappyNPO]

The church keeps feasting at the tables of power and privilege ... when Jesus is asking us to flip them.

The tables that oppress the poor
The tables that deny the outcast
The tables that discard the sick

FLIP!

[Rebecca Slagh @rebeccaslagh]

This Michigander is breathing just fine with her mask, thank you very much

[Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump]

Yet she doesn’t let people even breath in Michigan. A very bad double standard!

[Governor Gretchen Whitmer @GovWhitmer]

Now that I’ve got your attention, Mr. President - attack tweets won’t solve this crisis. But swift and clear guidance, tests, personal protective equipment, and resources would.

FYI - here’s what I’ve done so far ⬇️

[Rebecca Slagh @rebeccaslagh]

Geez, even my preschoolers know that 6 is bigger than 3. Apparently these republican representatives don’t know that though #IMPEACHMENTVOTE

[Don’t Boo…Revolt! @BreeNewsome]

Wait..... I.... did he really just say Jesus was shown more mercy & process than Trump????

Y'all really are prepared to sell your entire souls for this man and it shows.

[James Martin, SJ @JamesMartinSJ]

Pilate had Jesus beaten and whipped, thrown into jail overnight, marched through the streets carrying his cross, and then nailed to that cross until he died. Comparing the treatment received by the President to what Jesus suffered is absurd. Also, only one of them is sinless.

[Rebecca Slagh @rebeccaslagh]

@justinamash as a constituent from Grand Rapids, know this, we WILL hold you responsible for your actions tonight. This is not a party issue, it’s an ethical and national security issue #ImpeachAndRemove #IMPEACHMENTVOTE

[Greg Carr @AfricanaCarr]

You have to admire how white nationalist congresspeople in #ImpeachmentVote keep repeating "63 million Americans" voted for #Trump . nearly 66 million voted for Clinton [and thousands more in key states stolen by Trump were prevented from voting through #GOP suppression efforts].

[Rich Villodas @richvillodas]

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus clearly wants his followers to be more concerned with God’s kingdom coming on earth as it is in heaven than with us getting out of earth into heaven.

The implications are bottomless.

[Rich Villodas @richvillodas]

Christian hospitality is not simply coffee and donuts after Sunday service.

It's compassionately welcoming the stranger.

[Colin Kaepernick @Kaepernick7]

I’m just getting word from my representatives that the NFL league office reached out to them about a workout in Atlanta on Saturday. I’ve been in shape and ready for this for 3 years, can’t wait to see the head coaches and GMs on Saturday.
