@ZeroWasteWilts @sustainableish If you have time and want an adventure try jumping on a boat? There are lots of cruisers who would welcome an extra set of hands for trans-ocean crossings!
A dark day for life on earth as Japan begins commercial whaling - not that they haven’t been slaughtering whales for years - but this is a very ugly backward step against the growing global belief that it’s time to love life : all life . https://t.co/IlucwDrwV6

Reduce, reuse, refill. #WaitroseUnpacked is an innovative way to shop and we are excited to be running a test in our Oxford Botley Road branch which has the potential to significantly reduce plastic and packaging. Find out more: https://t.co/LeuOmWSqrD
At @Waitrose to see their “unpacked” trial to remove & reduce #plastic from our supermarket shop - really impressive. Met lots of happy shoppers who say this is what they want. Is this the future? Only if we get on board - & pressure the supermarkets to do the same. #WarOnPlastic

Totally agree with this comment-unless we #reuse then we aren’t actually reducing waste! My oldest reusable water bottle is almost 20 years old. And my oldest reusable coffee cup is 7!
For reusable items to make a difference in reducing waste we MUST actually reuse them! I am proudly still using my first ever reusable mug given to me by @CapnMoore at the Plastic Debris Rivers to Sea Conference held in LA in 2005. 14 years and going strong! How old is yours?
I’m interested in if there are any schemes sorting beach clean stuff, or if generally it goes into normal recycling? Thought you guys might have an idea!
