Among a lot of DNC sponsored identities (primarily POC), the consensus is that "woke 1" went wrong because (unless you have POC friends you wouldn't know this):

1. White libtards went too far by taking crit theory at face value and trying to utilize the cult programming for a purpose other than enforcing an intropunitive slave morality against lower and middle class white people. In other words, whites thought they could retain their legitimacy and equality in the social hierarchy by objectively applying the rules of the cult. This is offensive to POCs who used wokeness for the purpose of socioeconomic jockeying against white peers.

2. Related, white libtards assimilated into the cult programming and began using diversity hires as critique armor. This had the unfortunate side effect of saddling POCs with tons of extra work, because they were called upon to ritualistically opine on every decision and run various inclusivity initiatives. Believe it or not, it can be quite exhausting to be expected to consider your own trauma and persecution before any meaningful decision in an organization can be made.

The burrito ramen discourse from conservatives wouldn’t be relevant if it didn’t take fifteen rounds of interview to compete for a job with intolerable arrogance from undeserving employers, and subsequent inability to build wealth. Economy isn’t free and there’s no meritocracy. Maybe deliver the minimum of providing an even playing field for intelligent and ambitious young before lecturing them about saving money on luxuries like Taco Bell.

(Also quite absurd for people with sinecures at conservative media who’ve never worked a real job to do the Jack Kemp act yet again.)

In this case the intelligent and ambitious young and especially white men 18-25 are the only plausible future of the country that doesn’t end in a slum plus nursing home stagnant outhouse and can be the human basis of an advanced future. The problem is in the end conservatives haven’t delivered the bare minimum of liberal society, meritocracy. Maybe they’re unable to but I see little evidence it’s been their concern. And without the kind of reform that reestablishes some of the freedom and opportunity of eg American economy 1890-1930 all efforts will have been evanescent.
