The word "slave" came from the fact that the Slavic people were systematically enslaved for many centuries, traded along large portions of the civilized world, including North Africa... and yes, they were "white"

At most, 450k black slaves were brought to the USA.

In comparison, when you combine the medieval Slavic trade and the later Eastern European enslavement, there was a minimum of over 3.6 million white slaves. When looking at other historical estimates, that puts this at 5 million or more white slaves.

Then... you look at other ethnicities like Chinese slaves within China, or Koreans, Japanese, etc the overall picture is even more murky. Tens of millions of asian slaves existed throughout history, and this idea that somehow black people have the monopoly of being victims of slavery is wrong.

Same patterns existed in the Islamic world, which enslaved everyone, black, white, asian... it didn't matter... and were often castrated to prevent them from breeding... and native american societies as well.

Slavery was the "default" human civilizational programming for a very long time, until modern times abolished it in the Western-style world
