there may be no cure to the anhedonia that stems from my depression & schizophrenia, but i will accept basking in sunlight & consuming sugar as momentary treatments 🤭
Normalize not spending too much (I know that's subjective, so whatever is your personal too much) time on the news and focus on your individual life for the sake of your happiness and fulfillment (easier said than done, but I feel like it does need to be said)
I'm glad I weight-restored (voluntarily and not forced) when I did, and at the time I thought I might regret it but...... I don't.
I've made an amazing life for myself, with MASSIVE help from friends and family, and at 15 and 19 and 22 I thought I'd be dead by my age (29 now)
My life is sm more than what it was during my ED 😭 And it took time, but taking the focus away from ED stuff has paved the path for so many new things
I really wish I could share more but for many reasons (mostly privacy) I choose to keep on the quieter side abt things
Saw this quote on my phone again, it made me reflect; today, I'm sm more healed than I was even 2 years ago. I've grieved the years that I lost, and am celebrating my gains/wins since then. I have a life I *love* living, that I never ever ever thought would have been possible.
Idk if anyone's heard of @kidsa1nt on Instagram, but I really like their reels, which are often abt neurodivergence, audhd, and finding reasons to live. It's v comforting and motivating to me, and rare IME to find those two wrapped into one
It wasn't even the alcohol that made this moment worth being there IMO - it was the sunshine, the fact I was with 3 friends, alsooo the cream in the cherry cola cocktail was really delish
Drinking is *not* a good choice for everyone - even if they're of age where they live - but at 29 I'm glad to now be able to enjoy *cocktails* once in a blue moon while socializing 😭😭 Instead of having vodka disgustingly straight from the bottle (aka me in the past)

I'm so happy every day has been so great and joyful. Recovering from mental illness was the best thing I ever did for myself and I have zero regrets. I once believed suffering is all my existence is worth for. but ITS NOT TRUE!!! its amazing to be surrounded by such love and joy!
@skinnlheart It's okay to mourn your past self, your younger self, that version of you that went thru so much hell 😭 It doesn't mean you made the wrong decision by pursuing recov though. Your life is abt sm more than your w8 and you deserve to live a life that revolves around more than it <3
I feel like I never meet someone else who entered first-episode psychosis at the same time they began recovering from an ED (b/p recov came first, then weight restoration for me), it's just insane to have it happen all at once in the midst of active psychosis
@nuintjeplijs Take care!! That sounds like a wise decision, I hope that you can focus on other interests/passions/things in life and not stress too much abt posting here, and prioritize your wellbeing above all else hehe
Me until the old/ripe (depending how you look at it) age of 29 😭 I can barely believe it and I expect it to end in any minute, like I do w most things... But. Rn I have a friend group. And we all have schizophrenia (met at a clinic for people w first-episode psychosis)
This might sound really weird and be the auDHD in me that enjoys this but swinging in parks!!! (when kids aren't wanting to be on the swings) It feels similar to me as being tipsy/lit but it could be just me or an asian thing (cuz we don't have the enzyme to break down alcohol)
Hobbies for schizophrenics that don’t include a screen?! I’m losing it and the only thing I want to actually do is drugs and other crimes. Please say anything even if it’s the most basic shit I can’t keep doing this every day
Clothes from age 17-25 that've just been donated to a thrift store 😭
They're either no longer my style, or no longer fit me or have the same fit on me they used to have </3
I value my health so much more than I do these clothes (also I lowkey have hoarding tendencies...)
