Before you apply for your next job, ask yourself these questions…
🧵 Save this thread (or send it to someone who’s job hunting).
✅ Is your CV tailored to the role you’re applying for?
Generic CVs rarely stand out.
✅ Every application should reflect the skills and experience that employer is looking for.
Does your CV highlight achievements instead of just listing responsibilities?
Instead of:
• Responsible for customer service
Try:
• Resolved 50+ customer enquiries per day while maintaining a 95% satisfaction rating.
✅ Is your CV ATS-friendly (simple formatting, no unnecessary tables or graphics)?
✅ Does your personal profile clearly explain who you are and what you’re looking for?
✅ Is your employment history easy to follow and free from unexplained gaps?
✅ Have you checked spelling, grammar and consistency of formatting?
✅ Have you used keywords from the job description where they’re genuinely relevant?
✅ Is your CV no longer than two pages (unless your profession has different expectations)?
✅ Does your CV answer one question:
“Why should we interview this person?”
If you answered “No” to any of these, your CV may be holding you back.
