Shout out to the organizers, volunteers and @redcaptiming at the Lagoon Valley Classic who ran races two minutes apart to compress the schedule and ensure races were over before the heat really hit. All races done by 10:30 when it just broke 80 degrees. Well done!

The schedule for the Lagoon Valley Classic has been revised to avoid the predicted extreme heat (105F+). The event is set to start at 8AM on 9/3 at Lagoon Valley Regional Park. We will be overlapping races so we can get the 11 races completed in about 2h15.

PSA: Adding 0.24 to a time does not magically make it automatic timing (or FAT). It doesn't even make it equivalent to an FAT time, despite what so many people say. It's just a poor estimate. With FAT so common now, a converted hand-time should NEVER be called a record. 1/6
