H.E. Dr. Sasa will be speaking at a special event coming up soon with the respected colleagues. The event is organised by Asia News Network, The Jakarta Post and Thai PBS.
Today, I met with Derek Chollet, Counselor of the US State Dept, and Kim Moy, Principal Deputy Secretary of State. Great to meet good friends from the US, had productive discussions on situation, challenges, coordination with international envoys, and stronger US support.
As coup anniversary approaches, #Myanmar’s junta attacks civilians & commits atrocities in Chin, Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Karen states. Includes airstrikes on villages & displacement camps. Time for a #GlobalArmsEmbargo & no fly zone. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar https://t.co/gILRN8Z9Bl
Had an interesting exchange with the Chairperson of National Research Council of Korea 🇰🇷 and the Advisor for Policy Management Council of the President Office of the Republic of Korea. If we win, #Myanmar becomes a country like 🇰🇷, otherwise 🇰🇵 We must win.
I welcome the joint statement by the KNPP, KNU, and CNF in response to the proposal of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General on Myanmar. We stand with them and support the call for urgent international action in response to the horrific violence being committed by the junta.
Torture is universally prohibited under international law. But according to @AAPP, among the 1484 people who have been killed since the 1 Feb coup in #Myanmar, at least 90 have been tortured to death by the security forces. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar are #CrimesAgainstHumanity.
Rather than doubling down on failing diplomatic engagement with terrorist SAC, @ASEAN should recognize and work together with @NUGMyanmar. This will create real progress in diplomatic arena.
“They killed innocent civilians and burned the bodies to destroy the evidence of their crime.” Doctor confirms several bodies from Karenni State massacre had their hands tied behind their backs & were gagged. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar#CrimesAgainstHumanity https://t.co/qoBwlFwaed
#Video News: Karenni Nationalities Defense Force paid respect to the four comrades killed by Myanmar’s junta at the burial service.
Video supplied, and has been verified.
Once again, #Myanmar’s military junta is inflicting collective punishment on #Thantlang, including the burning of a Catholic Church, in order to terrify people into submission. #WhatsHappeninglnMyanmar are crimes against humanity.
Haunting photos published by #Myanmar media show young women reported to be detained by junta troops for working as medics with resistance fighters. One has a bloodstained neck. https://t.co/ho9dSS0Dbl

Very worried about women like these being detained by the #Myanmar military. Let's be clear: in the past, #Tatmadaw has shown NO hesitation to sexually harass and rape women & girls it takes into custody. Hoping history is not repeating itself.
