This was an incredible conference, I’m slowly making my way through the sessions. This thread explains why I have seen no press at all for such a momentous event.
As floods & fires rise, oceans boil & ice melts, and "safe" temperatures are breached, something momentous just happened in the heart of the EU. No one has heard about it: journalists were present, but their editors refused to publish 🤯.

@johnthackara@GeorgeMonbiot I agree about the choir and preaching language, but I did like the 'using our new knowledge of social tipping points to create the shift we want to see.' and that sense of just keeping on going and eventually we'll reach that tipping point. Using other methods than preaching...

So despite a petition, a survey, and a majority vote showing that @theRSAorg staff would like to unionise with @iwgb, management are refusing voluntary recognition and insist we'd be better off with a staff representative group🙄Here’s why we want union recognition instead: a 🧵
