@ktb38 in my years doing geriatric psychiatry, I expected mothers to know their children’s birthdates (errors ok if they had 8+ kids); fathers, the names and birth order. Sexist, no doubt, but these were folks born in the first quarter of the 20th century.
@FatherTim When we went to stand or kneel during Eucharistic Prayer, one of our members-from a LONG line of Episcopal clergy-chose to stand. When the complaint came that others did not find his back side spiritual, he laughed and afterwards always sat at the side. RIP, Charles Hawtrey.
