Seriously want to build a game where your mission isn't to conquer kingdoms. It's to make your country impossible to break.
You explore critical sectors, the entire chain, and find the missing links holding the country back. Every day you earn resources to build, unlock new tech, and push deeper into the value chain.
But the moment you succeed, the real game begins. Cheap imports flood the market, costs spike, demand shifts, and you have to hold the line.
Part strategy, part educational, part survival. Nation-building, as addictive as fighting dragons.
Anyone want to build?
SpaceX IPO is yet another reminder that picking the right company/founder can be the 10x (in this case maybe 100x) bet — for employees and investors alike. Amazing outcome for the team 🚀
We are extending our mission of democratising internet commerce for everyone to a new stakeholder : Retailers.
Meesho has acquired @KiranaClubApp.
India’s grocery market is estimated at ~$658 billion, with kirana and general trade channels accounting for nearly 91% of the market. Yet millions of kiranas across Tier 3, Tier 4 and rural India still rely on fragmented distributor networks, limited assortment and opaque pricing structures for sourcing.
Anshul Gupta (@baniaintech) and Aishwarya Jain (@AishwaryaTSD) built Kirana Club to solve exactly this. A zero-inventory, zero-field-sales, community-first B2B marketplace, purpose-built for kiranas outside metro India. Today, the platform serves 4.1 million+ registered retailers. Deep trust built through a model that was designed for this market from day one.
What drew us to Kirana Club was the philosophy behind it: asset-light, community-led, built for users that mainstream platforms overlooked. It’s the same instinct with which Sanjeev and I built Meesho.
We’re excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to building for retailers across Bharat.
One of the clearest signs you're onto something — people stop competing with your product and start competing with you instead.
If people are actively working against you, take it as a sign that you're building something that matters. Keep going!!
1 million orders in 1 year. We're still taking that in.
This milestone belongs to every farmer who grew with us, every partner who believed in us, every investor who believed in us and every customer who trusted us with something as personal as the food on their table.
Our intern made a video about what really goes behind this massive milestone.
Thank you. Genuinely. For every single order.
Here's to the next million.
We seem to be over-estimating what it takes to build production-grade systems AND under-estimating teams' agency to build these systems internally at the same time.
Will make for very interesting buyer behavior in the months to come imo.
