Wow. Amazingly successful launch of Blue Origins NG2 rocket. 1st stage successfully landed on barge. Big accomplishment. ESCAPADE satellites successfully released and on their way to #Mars . Even bigger accomplishment! Congrats to Blue and ESCAPADE teams.
NG-2 Launch Update: Our next launch attempt is no earlier than Wednesday, November 12, due to forecasted weather and sea state conditions. We worked with the FAA and range to select a launch window from 2:50 PM – 4:17 PM EST / 19:50 – 21:17 UTC. The live webcast starts at T-20 minutes.
Today’s New Glenn launch window opens at 2:45 p.m. ET / 19:45 UTC. Join us here for the webcast hosted by Ariane Cornell and Tabitha Lipkin, beginning 45 minutes before launch!
The time has come for commercial services out to #Mars There are risks, but significant gains are possible.

They may be pulling Isaacman’s nomination to be NASA administrator. Geez….hopefully this is wrong. Isaacman seems like a really visionary leader that would help the agency navigate these challenging times.

Big push for H2M. Hopefully a commercial option for MSR (as a part of large human class landers) can b found. We also need much more high res imagining and to understand where the enormous ice deposits are better than we do. Commercialization will b key. #Mars
Major focus on humans to Mars emerging in just released Presidents “skinny budget”. Lots and lots of other changes being proposed such as no MSR, SLS or Gateway.

Excellent, even if frightening article on what presidents budget is attempting to do re science. We need to do a lot better than this. Science is the seed corn of the future. You don’t eat it.

There is a lot of interesting talk about sending large landers and even humans to #Mars. Wanted to share this blog which outlines some of these things we need to think about in picking a landing site and hopefully base location

Pls add ideas!
Unfortunately looks like they are declaring the IM2 mission over. Amazing team. Despite this set back, they will bounce back and nail the next landing I bet.

Key details in this extract:
The landing appears to have had an issue. There is one pic which shows it may have tipped over; not generating full power (which may indicate it's tipped over) and engine did not shut off on landing which it should have done (if in upright position). Press conf at 4PM ET
