New accounts show Reform took £22.8m in donations in 2025 and built an £11.9m cash surplus.

But the money trail around Richard Tice gets more interesting.

Byline reports that Fiona Cottrell injected £1.075m into Tice’s company remarkably close to the £1.083m Reform owed another Tice company.

£500k subsequently went to Reform. Reform repaid some of Tice’s loan. The remaining £613k was ultimately converted into a donation.

None of that proves wrongdoing, but it raises a very simple question:
Where did the money ultimately come from?

And that is precisely why scrutiny of political funding matters.
