@grizzlybizzly@gunpolicy I think you're right, injunctions and stays will be much more likely post Viramontes, but look what happened after Bruen with all the restrictions on carry. It's been years since Bruen and cases are still being litigated and some of the restrictions have stuck.
@skepticalone44@gunpolicy License/registration, features, storage, etc.
I don't think a roster is likely at all because the question before SCOTUS in Viramontes addresses AR's and similar semiautomatic rifles.
@maskedesq@gunpolicy The California State Constitution doesn't have specific, explicit provisions addressing the right to keep and bear arms, which is primarily why these cases must be brought in Federal Court.
Man, I feel this.
Was this a sudden passing?
My ex wife passed about a year ago and we have 4 kids ranging in age from 12-32.
First off, my condolences. The boy is lucky to have people around him that love him and are trying to help guide him through this incredibly difficult situation.
Each of my kids are dealing with the loss of their mother differently and I've had to learn to show up differently for each.
My best advice would be to not force anything in terms of visiting the grave. I'd explain to him that there is a place where his mother is buried and that he can go there if/when he wants to.
Kids, even at 5 years old, can surprise you with their perception and perspective.
@Sarc_aspie@DrKarlynB Correct.
Whether she abandoned her child or not, the posted document is an initial filing for custody and support. No facts or claims are represented in that document.
@AdamsUnchained Perhaps there are other documents that support your claims, but this document is simply a custody and support demand. It's an initial filing that doesn't claim any facts or circumstances.
@EllliotttB 100%
If I can tell it's AI, there's a 95% chance I won't be able to accomplish what I intend to and keep pushing whatever buttons I need to to get a real person.
@BadMofo999@2Aupdates With regard to registrations, no, all guns aren't registered. Handguns have been for decades, but long guns 2014 and homemade 2019.
Many of us built off roster AR's before long gun registration began.
@AmendedRights@gunpolicy I agree with your foundational perspective here. As a Californian, I'm just very pragmatic on the actual post Viramontes landscape and I never underestimate the trickery the State Legislature and the 9th Circuit are capable of.
