@Patar762@TheKingofReads They could make those deals no matter what they pay their servers. Servers make less dollar value now than they did in the 80's, yet menu prices are higher everywhere. Nothing to do with wages and everything to do with inflation.
@lawschoolsznnn@TheKingofReads Oh for sure, I don't mean to be defending Chili's π but acting like fast food is more expensive than restaurants now *because* of the tipped minimum wage is just silly
@Patar762@TheKingofReads But it's not a uniquely Chili's thing, which is what OP was implying. Underpaying servers is not the reason for restaurant prices, and pretending that fast food menu prices are rising because of higher wages is bullshit
It would take 150,000+ AI prompts to use as much water as one hamburger does to produce. AI is just your scapegoat so that you don't have to be critical of your own negative contributions to the world.
@JezziiB this reminds me of a girl I knew who married and had a child with the guy who previously killed their dog by leaving it in a hot car, except so much worse
Did Australia make it through to the Round of 16?
No.
But did Socceroo fans show the world that Australians are laidback, good-looking and have a great sense of humour?
Also no.
I'm sure people furious at the request to only cool their house to 25C to prevent the grid failing are the same ones who called Brits weak for saying 30C was hot.
@areikm@FordMcCartney@OrevaZSN Oh I don't disagree at all! But I do see a difference between a small business taking real steps to be less inhumane vs giant corporations playing word games and raising prices to trick ppl into thinking they're contributing to cruelty less.
@FordMcCartney@OrevaZSN The sheep and honey argument I can understand, but there's no way to look at male chick maceration as a humane side effect of eating eggs. I've seen more small-farm egg business that don't kill chicks in the EU, but in the USA it doesn't exist
