Some 15,000 students and teachers marched in Athens demanding more funding for state education, better conditions at school and pay hikes for teachers.
Greece has entered the #EuropeanRedOctober chat
Communist Caucus members Ben M & Sebastian FG spoke with Madrid Tenants Union organizer Pablo Pérez Ruiz about the tenants uprising that has broken out across the Spanish state, and the looming general strike uniting labor with the tenants movement. Read in Spadework below.
We call upon the movement to remember Yahya Sinwar, in words, images & actions: to vocally & visually express the heroism of the Resistance, to escalate protest, mobilization & direct action to confront Zionism and imperialism, and to build the global Intifada.
"And when they said party,
They meant an anti revisionist
Revolutionary communist party
And if you asked them
What truths that party taught,
They said: Marxism-Leninism
Mao Zedong Thought"

As a dual citizen of the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Nation and the U.S., today I’m reminded of our resistance and our resilience, and that the fight against colonialism is not done.
We have survived even in the face of genocide, displacement, and assimilationist policies meant to erase our cultures, languages, and histories. For generations, the federal government has ignored its treaties and obligations, threatened our sacred sites, and polluted our water and ancestral homelands.
But we’re still here — over 180,000 Native Americans call New York City home. We honor Lenapehoking, the homeland of the Lenape people, and the people of many Native Nations from across North America who live here today.
With courage and persistence we continue our fight: for justice for missing and murdered Indigenous women and Two-Spirit people, for housing and a livable planet, for our land back, for the sovereignty Indian Country deserves.
And we carry that struggle across the world: for Puerto Rican self-determination, for a free Palestine, for land defenders in the Amazon, and for the freedom of Indigenous and working class people everywhere.
But today we celebrate: not only our fight, but our culture and our crafts, our languages and our land, our ancestors and our elders. Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day.
@wellstonism Still feels icky. We should do everything we can for a weapons embargo, BDS, and ending all aid to Israel, but even if we accomplish that, it’s not going to free Palestine. What that will accomplish is making it easier for Palestinian revolutionaries to remove the boot themselves
@adornos_soul My uncle worked for Sears for decades before being laid off sometime in the 2010s. One of the few places that would hire a Deaf person. He never found another job. He’s about to get his pension from Sears though. Wild to me that a retail job had a pension, profit sharing, etc.
Breaking News: Homeland Security agents executed a search warrant at the home of Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. The Justice Department has historically avoided such investigative moves related to political candidates so close to elections. https://t.co/SZIbbIZmRH
No concessions on any other issue will ever replace the need for justice on Palestine. Factional claims of wreckers/"unserious" actors are themselves a product of the arrogance of people who simply don't understand what compels principled action at high cost.
We demand that Mayor Zohran Mamdani fire NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch and use every power available to him to drive ICE out of New York City.
We further demand the mayor abolish the NYPD’s Strategic Response Group (SRG) and Community Response Team (CRT).
The entire Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (@cpimspeak) was detained today by the Delhi Police.
Red salute to our comrades!
Yes, queen. It is time for Mamdani to go to war with the police. Fire Tisch, disband the SRG, dismantle the police union, and end collective bargaining for the police union
Yesterday, an ICE agent opened fire in Marble Hill. They shot a member of our community in the neck while he was in his car. His five-year-old kid was in a child seat in the back of the car when ICE agents fired at least 7 rounds into it. This was in the middle of the afternoon, with children walking home from school and people heading home from work. Federal agents put every one of them in danger.
When I was in Marble Hill last night I saw NYPD officers rapidly escalating violence. As I was trying to de-escalate, I was shoved to the ground by an officer. I witnessed unmarked law enforcement cars hitting protestors as NYPD officers pushed people out of its path. And instead of condemning ICE’s violence, Police Commissioner Tisch attempted to justify the shooting by reading off our neighbor’s past interactions with police.
The NYPD spent more time protecting a militia that just shot someone than protecting New Yorkers. Last night, the NYPD and Commissioner Tisch violated the spirit, if not the letter, of our sanctuary city policies and fueled the Trump Administration’s attempt to demonize our communities. The NYPD’s Strategic Response Group must be disbanded as quickly as possible, and Commissioner Tisch must step down.
In this district, there are mothers who are afraid to send their kids to school, workers who are afraid to show up for their shifts, and people who won’t call for help anymore because they can’t be sure who will come. That’s what it means to have a violent militia operating in your community. You don’t feel safe walking down your own street.
For decades, we’ve been told ICE can be fixed with more oversight, better training, or reform. But you can’t reform an agency whose purpose is to terrorize immigrant families. You can’t train cruelty out of a system built to enact cruelty. ICE must be abolished.
This moment demands that everyone step up. Elected officials at every level need to stop hedging and say it plainly: Abolish ICE now. Our city must enforce every sanctuary protection we have and city officials must ensure this cannot happen again.
