Honestly, Stevie Y failed with pro scouting initiatives and not incurring more risk. He deserves credit for the prospect pool and I think McLellan was the right hire.
Really terrified they are considering internal candidates though. That's a non starter in my view.

I finally decided to put out my rankings. A little off consensus, but I am not one for groupthink mentality seeping into my ranks.
Enjoy and let me know where you lie!
Or if you want my thoughts on certain players not listed here!

What do you try to recieve for Larkin or Larkin+? Is it a Larkin+Cossa package deal?
Is it Robert Thomas and Kyrou? Or maybe one of them and Parayko?
Is it SJs 2nd overall pick this year and take Stenberg?
Is it Elias Pettersson?
Given the presser and where this Wings team is at I woild love to see them go after Matvei Michkov in a trade. Uberskilled elite talent that is perfect for the Wings.
When Matvei Michkov arrived in 2024, simple things became hard.
Like finding the gas station. Or buying groceries. Or ordering room service.
But this year is better. His family is more settled. His English has improved.
“Life has become easier,” he said https://t.co/6silj395AU

Alex Zanardi, the Italian auto racing champion-turned-Paralympic gold medalist whose career was marked by two life-altering accidents, has died. He was 59. https://t.co/UVIoByAwX2
Early thoughts on the Steve Yzerman presser: Theres definitive pressure internally. Sounds encouraging that this isnt just the run of the mill malaise we seen in previous years. A lot of what was said there was in between the lines, but it definitely felt more pointed this year.
Its not even complicated. Get what you can for Kane. DeBrincat was playing lights out before we got him and will continue to do so. He actually initially slumped with Kane before they figured it out. This Red Wings team needs to just let guys develop. It hinders players.
Patrick Kane "will definitely be playing" next year. But should Red Wings bring him back?
Like this whole offseason for Steve Yzerman, it's complicated: https://t.co/ledyPv0uYY
