Codex blows me away with level of rapid iteration and new features. One new, simple but nice thing : Creating a template for how tasks are named by AI (or having AI bulk rename tasks based on a template) for better grouping. Agentic coding can become chaos without.
Not sure "the harness" is that defensible when AI is good at creating open source harnesses but Chrome is also like the mother of all harnesses and new features like this from @Google make me very unworried about the longevity of this member of the Mag 7
3,000 .gdoc files in my @googledrive & I am starting to go back to creating new docs in .docx format instead since Gdocs now supports opening & editing .docx. Keeps the pros of GDocs but ability to write offline, full text search contents, safer backups - and content preview!
Spacers added to MacOS app dock. Feels good. Read this was possible for years and never did it until I realized I was trying so many new #AI tools. Feels good to partition these tools. How to = https://t.co/oJ7qXf2zYA
Pro tip for @obsdmd : Don't store table-based data of more than 4 columns and a few rows in a markdown file. Use a .csv file insead, place it in your vault; config your machine to use something like "Easy CSV Editor" (swift) or @smoothcsv / @moderncsv to open them.
It does feel like my brain is running a "next best word" vector search when I communicate.
Does not require nearly as much energy to do it biologically but process feels similar, and the prompt is the "end i have in mind" as a I seek the best words I have to reach it. #ai
Cambrian explosion 2026: Having so much fun building useful client, commercial and personal tools faster than ever before. That said, the few times I pick my head up all I see is everyone doing the same. Apple App Store apps up 25% last year. Probably much more this year.
AI healthcare tip to improve communication:
- Feed relevant treatment history to LLM
- Prompt "HTML summary doc of key issues into a one pager, add icons and easy-to-understand layout w/ timeline
- Past HTML to GoogleDoc for easy sharing; print as handout to new caretakers
@appleswiftui In addition to being constrained by space, also constrained by tooling. It's just Apple's stuff, which ends being a relief if you've had years of, "Which CSS / JS / HTML framework is best for me with this project?
Designing for iOS with SwiftUI is incredible fun after years of only web tech.
Feels like ultimate test of elegance: How can I visually fit just what I need in this very small canvas with smallest amount of work for user?

AI auto #git commits are just so awesome. Perfect fit for #AI. A thing humans just did but now feels like a complete waste in way that AI can standardize & consistently enforce strict rules in a way humans don't. Continue to just be in love w/ creating in the new way AGENTS.md=
Personal financial research db update: Refined in @nocodb to consolidate all external links to one field instead of one for each site. Better this way. Basic pattern can be extended to create custom ul outcomes while still in standard UI/not writing custom code.๐ @SeekingAlpha
Duplicate File Finder is really helpful if you run into Google drive issues that trigger it download duplicates of all your files, killing your weekend peace. Free version has been enough for me.
There is likely a model finely tuned and trained for perfect SVG creation but funny that SVG creation feels like it would be cake for the frontier models and they often return these fuzzy approximations.
Like always, innovation makes demands on everyone that they improve: ease of creating your own software forces a leveling up of any paid service & requires freemium tools to provide even more value for free in a world where, "I'll just make my own" is increasingly trivial.
Great research prompt before starting something and deciding on high level structure: "Scan the github repos, issues and discussions for the following, related applications and report back on all the architectural regrets stated about each product in these discussions:"
