@drantbradley I’d say cost of living is a big one. And also one that’s immeasurable is probably the desire/cultural expectation of a family. Stronger community ties helps relieve burden. Bet a lot also live near family to help as well.
@FreddyLA7@kjwooten87 Stop through Northwest Arkansas on the way. Lots of natural beauty, world class museum, Walmart HQ, and great small town America vibes.
@BIBI_Mugiwara@DrFreedomCrAmmo@aWeegieBored A lot come from geography+continued playing. Add in families and communities choose a side and that doesn’t change. Rivalries are also born out of close games over and over again as well as something dramatic happening.
Some come and go, ones listed are long standing.
@ESisson7@rearxnz Just team titles. But there’s M/W Outdoor Track, M/W Indoor Track, and M/W Cross Country. So 6 total per year up for grabs.
Answering other Q. Soccer has won a handful of reg season titles. Add the occasional baseball/softball etc you get that graphic.
@drantbradley It’s everywhere. And it’s sad. Restaurants are the worst. Seeing kids at events/moments like games, zoo, etc breaks my heart. The bluey episode of Bob Bilby captures this perfectly.
@drantbradley As a public school teacher, it’s a sad truth. Districts push CBs, curriculum companies now focus on tech, and teachers use it as a crutch. I do my best to give students the option of paper or CB and most will choose paper. They’re tired of screens.
@pinto479@NWAHutch It’s so refreshing knowing the “bench” is bringing points and defensive hustle with Billy. Don’t really consider them true bench players per se. It’s 40 minutes of all gas.
@CaptainCons 100%. Only thing different is CCs. That way we can get different rewards and order gifts off Amazon without having to worry about spoiling things. Both know passwords as well. Marriage is a team sport.
@LSUBarstool As an Arkansas fan, 100% agree. Acknowledgment to the fact LSU is a superior program and team 9/10 games, but that game is always so fun. It’s a good end of the season game too. And do it on Friday.
