I have been wanting to start this thread for a while, but now I am finally going for it. This is the “Trump outrageously lying” thread. Feel free to contribute. We will start with this “reducing costs by 1000%” (lie or gross stupidity?) gem.

Trump: You understand and we will be reducing drug costs over the next year by not 50 or 60% but by 1000%… Because if you think of a $10 pill -- it will be raised up from 10 to 20 because it's the world versus us, the world is the bigger place.. so it will go from 10 to 20… for them which is bearable. And it will go from 10 to 20 for us.

@Stand4ourFuture @howertonjosh Okay, now you have moved into full delusion. Trump is the most corrupt president that this country has ever had! He has enriched himself by billions in this term! He keeps investing in stocks and then giving orders that cause those stocks to go up. He awards contracts to donors!

@Stand4ourFuture @howertonjosh What fraud have Republicans actually found? What they really have found is things that they don’t like. Unfortunately, the people doing the analysis are too dumb and hasty to understand what programs are before getting rid of them. Like the screwworm program.

@Stand4ourFuture @howertonjosh Yes, it isn’t perfect. But at least people don’t have to worry about going bankrupt because of medical debt. People don’t have to skip lifesaving treatments because they don’t have the money.

@Stand4ourFuture @howertonjosh Not what I said at all. I think that people are convinced that they should be opposed to something because of cultural or political biases. They convince themselves that it is Biblical when really the belief is from their group culture.

@Stand4ourFuture @howertonjosh For example, universal healthcare is a no-brainer to most Christians around the world. Similarly, social safety nets and caring about the climate are considered normal and perfectly in line with the Bible.

@Stand4ourFuture @howertonjosh If you were to talk to Christians in Scotland, Germany, or Russia, you would find a very different viewpoint on what policies are in line with the Bible. What you think is from the Bible is really from your cultural biases.

@Stand4ourFuture @howertonjosh I have read the Bible straight through every year for the past 10 years or so. I was a missionary for 12 years. I think that I know the Bible pretty well.

@howertonjosh @aprilajoyr Republicans have to resort to lying about the Democratic Party platform because the reality is that most people agree with the policies when they hear about them without knowing the affiliated party.

I agree with you that some of the Democratic Party policies are not in line with the Bible. But most of the policies are in line with the Bible.
