@HelenBevan I hope that it passes sooner than you expect, Helen, and that it ends up touching you lightly. A salutary lesson that it is still with us and continues to have an impact.
A perspective on how structural and systemic working practices are impacted by crises, such as the pandemic...and how we might capitalise on these instances to support people to surface, transfer and apply their learning on a business-as-usual basis.

@charlie_psych But while being the jokey maverick seems to give me licence to speak, it paradoxically allows others not to pay any attention to what’s said and, if they do happen to hear it, not to take it seriously.
@charlie_psych I’ve certainly spent some time considering my presence at work; my relationship with authority/power; and how others might see me in the workplace…and how I see myself. It led to an exploration of the jester in organisational life…and how I embraced that role to find my voice.
How can we work together to dismantle corporate dictatorship and challenge the neo-feudalism that can be seen in our relationships within hierarchy in the contemporary workplace?

I'd love it if you could join with me to engage in unpacking power in the workplace. These sessions offer insight into ways of thinking about power in this context and space for us to consider our individual and collective experience of it.
Loving quiz and game shows as I do, here are some observations I feel moved to make in light of two formats that I have viewed recently - and the lessons they might contain for people looking to lead in corporate life

Voice and silence is so often determined by our circumstances, by the labels applied to us and the context in which we find ourselves.

@AlisonSmith29 We need to go beyond one single day, Alison, to actively disturb largely unacknowledged workplace practices that reflect the fact that extraversion is seen as “normal” in corporate contexts and introversion is “othered” as something that needs to be fixed.
