Looking critically at OD - and shaping a new and genuinely radical practice. Focused in both theory and practice on power, voice and collective change at work.
@nsandihelp To transfer cash into my NS&I direct saver, I assume I use the NS&I sortcode and acct number - and add my account number as the transfer reference. Is that correct?
A perspective on how structural and systemic working practices are impacted by crises, such as the pandemic...and how we might capitalise on these instances to support people to surface, transfer and apply their learning on a business-as-usual basis.

@BenAllenGP Too true, Ben.
Busyness plus a fetishization of both action and novelty across the NHS denies space for real thought and dialogue (as opposed to endless performative “meetings”).
People desperately need to pause; explore alongside another, and make sense of their world.
@JacquiDeevoy1@cardiffian64 Does the global community of pilots with whom you are ceaselessly conversing about such matters have a special name for you? (I’d wager that they do, even if they don’t use it to your face.)
How can we work together to dismantle corporate dictatorship and challenge the neo-feudalism that can be seen in our relationships within hierarchy in the contemporary workplace?

Thoughts about how anarchism might offer us a different and positive sort of lens through which to view health and social care in terms of the challenges and ambitions that currently exist in that sector.
Radical OD is offering events with John Higgins over the coming months for NHS people.
We'll be looking at how OD can assert itself better in health care...and how we can best navigate (and change) the politics of the NHS.

We rarely speak about power in the workplace, despite this being a realm where its presence is profoundly felt. These sessions offer insight into ways of thinking about power in this context and space for us to consider our individual and collective experience of it.
@nas_vascular@_beckyOT Not to forget receptionists; ward and booking clerks; and portering staff, to name just a few, plus all those in assistant positions…myriad individuals in patient facing roles occupying the egregious category of “Band 2 to 4”, staff defined in the NHS solely by their pay grade.

Voice and silence is so often determined by our circumstances, by the labels applied to us and the context in which we find ourselves.

@charlie_psych@weirb4 Countless invitations to “speak” in the NHS are unmatched by a commitment to truly hear the voices that respond.
Word clouds are instruments of power that define normalcy in the moment, and thereby contribute to Othering, which in turn impacts our willingness to speak.
