This is NOT Customer Service
Noticed all those email invitations to go and collect your regular statements from your 'non-service provider's' website?
I now reply with the following email.
Dear sir/madam,
Your email below, in this modern, “make-the-customer-do-everything” world, requires me to:-
•get into my digital car (computer)
•navigate to your digital head office (https://t.co/ka9DumXSsL)
•report to security (user name – not always my email address – check my notebook)
•sign in (password – hmm, check my notebook again, I don’t come here often)
•enter your digital lift lobby (read through menu for correct floor)
•select the floor (statements, reports, help desk,…..)
•find my cabinet/document (select category)
•retrieve the document (select specific document)
•take it to the photocopier or mail it to myself (print or download)
All of which takes a few minutes.
The only good news is that, at this point in time, I don't have to go back the way I came, I can simply jump out of the window (log out and shut down).
So, with respect, please simply send me my statement in the good old-fashioned, customer-friendly, time-efficient, way as a password-protected pdf attachment that I can open, read and file, at my leisure, in less than a minute.
Your computer can do it, if you instruct it.

The Union Jack - the most Christian flag of all. 🇬🇧
Every line of it tells a story rooted in faith, courage, and sacrifice. It is not just a national emblem - it’s a cross upon cross, declaring Christ at the heart of Britain’s heritage.
The Cross of St. George - the red cross on white - stands for England. It represents the patron saint who bore witness to Christ and was martyred for refusing to renounce his faith. His banner became the symbol of Christian knighthood and righteous defence.
The Cross of St. Andrew - the white diagonal cross on blue — stands for Scotland. According to tradition, St. Andrew was crucified on an X-shaped cross, deeming himself unworthy to die on the same form as his Lord. His humility and devotion mark the Christian soul of Scotland.
The Cross of St. Patrick - the red diagonal cross on white - stands for Ireland. St. Patrick brought the Gospel to a pagan land, converting a nation to Christ through faith and perseverance. His cross completes the trinity of saints that formed our Union.
When united, these crosses form the Union Jack - the Cross of Christ shining through the saints of our islands. It’s a banner of unity under God, a testament that Britain’s foundation was laid in the Gospel.
No wonder the modern left despises it - because it reminds them of what they’ve tried to erase: that our nation once knelt before Christ, not ideologies. The Union Jack isn’t just a flag - it’s a declaration that our true King is Christ Himself.
Rule Britania 🇬🇧
It’s wild that it’s become normal to leave your kids at daycare five days a week, eight hours a day, just so you can go to a job that mainly pays for daycare, the car to get there, and a house you’re rarely home to enjoy. We’re stuck in a cycle of working just to afford a life we barely get to live.
So, when I present my ID for scanning or copying I overstamp it with the date and the recipient's name. This can be a simple handwritten post-it sticker. The same can be done when sending electronically. It doesn't protect your details but the image itself has little downstream value

Password or P@s$W0rd?
When prompted for your password on a website, you may not be sure whether this site requires a simple one, one with numerals, some caps, some special characters, and of course those annoying ones that refuse special characters, as well as those that want a minimum of nn characters
I propose that the prompt on the screen, the word “password” itself, should be spelt in such a way as to indicate the complexity required e.g.
password - lower-case characters
PassWord - upper and lower case
Pa55Word - with numerals
Pa55Word14 - minimum 14 characters
P@$5Word14 - with special characters
So, if your go to password is “conversation” you would have to adapt it as follows to suit the above rules
conversation
ConVerSation
C0nVer5ati0n
C0nVer5ati0n99

The early digitisation still required human time and effort to process the contents - remote reading. The recent excitement is that the content is/has now been processed and immediately traceable. AI should not be seen as Artificial Intelligence, rather Applied Intelligence. The ability to process what we enquire about at speeds we could only dream about.
@JamesLashbrook@engineers_feed To remove the six pages listed would require removing at least two additional pages, being those on the back of some of those listed. As explained by other respondents. So 8 or 10 pages
@engineers_feed This does not fit in with LinkedIn. It's time LinkedIn provided a thumbs down 👎 option. I'm not blocking you, you have some good content. But PLEASE admins we don't need this!!
