@rakiathegreat Lately Ive been asking my authors to expect that editors want to live whole lives and to spend time with friends and family on the weekend. I ask them to think about how long it might take them to read a 300 page book. Btw, what are you averaging? You know I'm a numbers gal.

@rakiathegreat I like to help my authors understand the full ecosystem. I think everyone in the publishing business has had to add at least 3 or 4 more duties. I think everyone needs to exercise more patience.

@rakiathegreat Well i find that engaged editors are thinking early on in the process about how they will help with pr and mktg. They are tapping into their network and laying the foundation. Creating buzz. Thinking about positioning. Being an in house salesperson for the book and author
