1 John 4:19 says in beautiful simplicity, "We love because He first loved us." In love He draws us to Himself knowing that the absolute best place for us is in His arms.
James 4:8 contains a profound promise of God. Scripture says, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." To draw near to God is to simply open our hearts to what was always available. Take time today to draw near to God, and experience the GLORY of His PRESENCE.
3rd Week of Advent, JOY: The only reasonable response to God’s lavish love and goodness is JOY—pure JOY! “For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy.” Psalms 92:4
2nd Sunday of Advent, PEACE: Consider your readiness for Christ’s coming and your need to repent of anything that keeps you from being at PEACE with God.
Discussing Psalm 23 in my Life Group this morning. Wherever you are today and whatever your need is, the Good Shepherd is seeking to FIND, LOVE, GUARD and BLESS you.
“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” (Psalm 63:1) May we be a people who earnestly seek God for the refreshment of our souls.
Authentic worship is a powerful exchange of God pouring His love out on us and us giving Him our hearts in return. It’s Sunday! May you find peace and comfort as you participate in worship today.
