Colonel Conrad Reynolds and Tina Peters say newly declassified election security reports reveal widespread vulnerabilities in voting machines and are urging immediate action before the November elections.

@ColonelReynolds argued the Secretary of Commerce has the authority to prohibit the use of voting machines containing certain foreign-made components, saying the newly declassified reports show vulnerabilities in states that use those systems.

"We don't want to just patch the machines," @realTinaPeters said. "We have a plan to fix it now."

Peters said her team has assembled evidence they claim demonstrates vulnerabilities in voter registration systems and voting machines and is prepared to present both its findings and proposed solutions to the Trump administration.

Reynolds also criticized elected officials for resisting a transition to paper ballots despite what he described as strong public support, saying, "We can't push from the bottom - it has to be pulled from the top."

Peters urged Americans to contact the White House and their elected representatives, adding, "Your voice really does matter."

Number two is that our own government officials covered this up. That's absolutely appalling. Dominion Systems that we use here statewide, based on forensics and expert witness testimony, is they're all interconnected worldwide, and they can communicate with one another — which is like a common password. If you're in Serbia, then you can log into a voting system in Gwinnett County, Georgia, then you can basically alter their results. We found this through forensics, we know that 3,000 program files were modified after the system was installed for the 2020 election. @VoterGa

Close to half parishes >=90% registered.

First Wyle, then NTS labs. Finally at both NTS and Pro V&V. None of them had a full time security tester. I was staffed through a professional staffing company.

Time to address the risk of our voting machines that contain Chinese components, just as was done with drones & routers. So, trash the machines and change our election processes to use hand-marked, hand-counted paper ballots.

After reading a chapter of Duped, the upcoming book from @ColonelReynolds and @willgofurther, my mind keeps coming back to one question:

If Congress and federal agencies are willing to ban Chinese parts, Chinese-linked routers, Chinese telecom equipment, and Chinese-made drones because they may pose a national security risk, why aren’t we applying that same logic to voting machines?

That is the double standard.

Washington does not wait for proof that every drone has been used for spying before it acts.

It does not wait for proof that every router has been turned into a weapon before it raises alarms.

The standard is not “prove the disaster already happened.”

The standard is risk.

In recent years, the federal government has moved against foreign-made drones, Chinese telecom equipment, covered communications equipment, and even foreign-made consumer routers because these devices may collect data, receive updates, communicate externally, contain hidden firmware, or sit inside sensitive networks.

That logic makes sense.

But if a router is too risky because it sits inside a communications pathway, what about the systems that record, scan, tabulate, transmit, and report votes?

If a drone is too risky because it can collect data, receive commands, and depend on foreign software or components, what about election systems that rely on hidden software, firmware, removable media, commercial hardware, vendor support, and election-management computers the public cannot independently inspect?

Election infrastructure was designated critical infrastructure by DHS in 2017.

So why are citizens treated as paranoid when they ask the same national-security questions about voting machines that the government already asks about routers, drones, telecom equipment, cameras, software, and supply chains?

This is not a claim that every machine is compromised.

It is not a claim that every vendor is malicious.

It is a much simpler point:

Self-government should not depend on complex technology the public is not allowed to understand, inspect, or independently verify.

If America will not blindly trust foreign-linked drones near sensitive facilities, it should not blindly trust hidden software and foreign-made hardware at the center of its elections.

If America will not blindly trust certain routers inside critical networks, it should not blindly trust proprietary machines to count votes.

The safest election system reduces unnecessary complexity, preserves physical evidence, limits vendor dependence, and allows citizens to verify the count without trusting the machine.

That starts with hand-marked paper ballots.

Strict chain of custody.

Public reconciliation.

Transparent hand-counts.

Results the people can see.

Heritage Foundation's ratings are total garbage. Our election system is 90% computerized. Only 10% of their ratings categorize processes for anything electronic.

If you’ve been to any of the SOS’s talks on Louisiana’s election system, you’ve heard the same lines: that Louisiana ranks #4 on the Heritage Foundation’s election integrity list, that our system isn’t connected to the internet, that it’s “air gapped.”

This video explains, simply and clearly, the problem with the air gap.

And one has to wonder about any ranking that puts Louisiana at #4 when we have no paper trail, no way to audit our elections, and no way to independently verify a result.

1)Why use 6 voters as a cutoff? Average number of kids is 1 3/4 => < 2, so 2 adults & 2 kids. Use >=5 as a cutoff.
2)Given #1 above, why check only commercial address?
3)Given 1&2, why check only mail-in voters?

It’s been five years since Louisiana passed an election security law that they still haven't followed through on. We’re stuck with a system that has no voter-verified paper trail, which means any audit they do is just a joke, they’re just checking digital logs on machines that can’t be independently verified. When the whole system is digital and there’s no paper to count, it’s basically a black box.

If the party, and Trump, really cared about election security, they would’ve been all over Governor Landry to fix this. Instead, the Republican Party in Louisiana is falling apart because they’re picking favorites and ignoring how cheated voters feel. LETLOW CHEATED!! Prove me wrong with PAPER! Oh you can’t 😂

It’s wild that they’re fine with the same shady tactics being used by the establishment as long as it benefits them, but then cry foul when it happens elsewhere.
