Last year, Dr. Fereshteh Emami was removed from her position at SLU as the lead investigator on the Lake Maurepas Monitoring Project, a Southeastern Louisiana University research project funded by Air Products & Chemicals.
Her removal came immediately after media coverage of her research, which connected severe water pollution to heavy industry. Dr. Emami filed an academic freedom grievance with the university.
A hearing will be held regarding her grievance on February 20, 2026 at 10:00am at Southeastern Louisiana
University, in room Fayard 303. The hearing will be open to media and the public.
Dr. Emami is represented by attorney William Most, who has been on The State of Freedom to discuss this massively important issue. Catch it here.

A Mission Beyond Distractions
I was asked recently how I respond to the repeated, vicious attacks by Michael Lunsford, directed not only toward me but toward LACAG.
My honest answer is that I don’t think of him—the only time he enters my mind is when I am forced to correct the record against an attack on my closest allies or the LACAG mission. While there is certainly plenty of fertile ground to attack him in return, I am reminded of the words of Marcus Aurelius: 'The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury.'
I have never claimed to be perfect. I am deeply flawed, but I would never seek to harm a person who has done me no harm—and yet, that is exactly what he has repeatedly done to me, to my allies in this fight, and to the organization I’ve worked very hard to build.
The reason for that is between him and God.
Those of us who truly understand the fragility of liberty, the fleeting nature of time, and the grave threats currently facing our Constitution, do not waste the days this way. Our time on this earth is a gift we will never get back, and we will each have an eternity to give an account of how we used it. Whatever regrets I may have at the end, I am determined that a trail of bitterness and envy will not be among them.
For those seeking the truth: I voluntarily turned in my law license. It was a choice I made after choosing mercy over procedural rules to help a dying mother see her only son—an act for which I asked nothing in return and for which I have taken full responsibility. While some inaccurately label my status as 'indefinite,' I have been eligible for reinstatement since June 2025. I am not practicing law right now by my choice, and nobody else’s.
I am not a 'fake' advocate. I am a man who put his livelihood on the line because I could not bear the thought of a mother dying alone. Those closest to me—those who know my heart-know that is the absolute truth.
Our founders bled and died for the rights we are fighting to protect today. We aren't looking back; we are looking forward. I intend to fight like a warrior—to the very end—to preserve what was given to us at such a high cost.
My failures will never murder my courage.
God Bless our great State. 🏛️🇺🇸

@LacagOrg Perfectly stated! Some people like Michael Lunsford are in grassroots activism for ego-driven reasons and they view that space as a zero sum formula where another's success is to their detriment. True Patriots are happy for anyone else's success in defending the Constitution.

John Fleming drops by the KTAL studio to talk about the Carbon Capture and Sequestration as well as the US Senate race, in which he continues to lead all candidates including Bill Cassidy.

14 PRO CCS SOUTH DAKOTA REPUBLICAN LEGISLATORS DEFEATED. WHERE DO LOUISIANA OFFICIALS STAND?
They were defeated because they awakened a sleeping giant. They underestimated the passion among South Dakota citizens for private property rights.
Louisiana citizens- even those whose property is not directly affected by Carbon Capture and Sequestration -know that if there is a mechanism whereby a private company can seize a person’s property to enrich itself with our money, who is next? What is next?
YOU?
The danger is in the PRECEDENT. The Founders of our Country knew this.
Every elected official in Louisiana must publicly declare their position on CCS now, including:
1) whether taxpayers should fund it; 2) whether a private company EVER should be allowed to seize private property to advance it; and 3) whether they will publicly call for an immediate special session to categorically END eminent domain for CCS, and the spending of one more taxpayer dollar for it.
It is NOT our responsibility to search out your position on the most important single issue in our State. It is YOUR responsibility to make it clear.
And it should be just as urgently important to you as it is to citizens across Louisiana.

@blakearcuri He can't explain the basics outside of the machine, but no Clerk in any parish (or Registrar or Secretary of State) can describe what happens *inside* the machine as the software is proprietary and no one other can Dominion can see the code. Fishy, huh?
