@japan_nobunaga It's disappointing to see someone of intellect make these comments. Starting with "I don't know the history" doesn't make it ok. You have hundreds of thousands of followers. LEARN the history. Of Gaza specifically. These children are being raised in a death cult.
Tonight begins the second yahrzeit (anniversary of the death according to the Hebrew calendar) of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Ori Danino, Carmel Gat, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi, and Eden Yerushalmi, z"l - six hostages who were brutally murdered by Hamas in August 2024, after 328 days in captivity. They were kidnapped on October 7, 2023 - five from the Nova music festival, one from Kibbutz Be'eri - and held in tunnels beneath Gaza until Hamas took their lives just days before IDF forces reached them.
We remember them, mourn them, and hold their families in our prayers. May their memories forever be a blessing. 🕯️
Mayor Mamdani did not simply express a personal political opinion. He used the authority, symbolism, and credibility of the mayor’s office to issue what amounted to an official public address declaring that the democratically elected leader of the world’s only Jewish state is a ‘war criminal’ who is ‘not welcome in New York City.’ That is a profound misuse of the office entrusted to him by all New Yorkers.
After acknowledging that New York City has no independent legal authority to execute the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant, the mayor nevertheless chose to transform that legal reality into a televised political spectacle. Respect for the separation of powers and the legal limits of public office is a bedrock of American democracy; those limits should not be treated as an inconvenience to be exploited for political theater.
Perhaps most telling was what the mayor chose to leave out. His address made no mention of Hamas or the October 7 massacre of innocent civilians. Instead, he delivered a sweeping moral indictment of Israel while erasing the terrorist atrocities that ignited this war. Appeals to universal humanity and justice ring hollow when they exclude the victims whose suffering does not fit a preferred political narrative.
This is no longer simply about Prime Minister Netanyahu. It reflects a broader pattern in which Mayor Mamdani repeatedly singles out Israel while using the prestige of his office to legitimize rhetoric that further isolates the Jewish state and deepens division here at home. At a time when Jewish New Yorkers are experiencing alarming levels of antisemitism, harassment and intimidation, they deserve a mayor who refrains from fomenting hatred against the world’s only Jewish country while maintaining the fiction that this is not anti-Jewish.
Throughout his campaign, Mayor Mamdani repeatedly insisted that his responsibility as mayor would be to focus on New York City and the issues affecting New Yorkers. New Yorkers elected him to make their neighborhoods safer, combat hate and unite a diverse city, not to conduct foreign policy or transform City Hall into a stage for ideological declarations about world leaders.
New Yorkers elected a mayor, not a prosecutor of foreign leaders. Mayor Mamdani should spend less time trying to demonize only one leader and one country from City Hall and more time protecting the New Yorkers he was elected to serve.

A while ago, I watched the infamous 47-minute video documenting the atrocities of October 7th — the one not made publicly available, to protect the privacy of the victims.
The worst part of this video is not what it displays, but who is displaying it: the perpetrators themselves. Gleefully. Sadistically. Unabashedly. Most of the footage was filmed by Hamas terrorists on their GoPro bodycams, some also by ordinary Gazan civilians on their cellphones.
Even the Nazis tried to cover up their atrocities, but Hamas brags about theirs for the entire world to see. The killers are euphoric throughout the massacre, and their relentless, ecstatic cries of "Allahu Akbar" (punctuated by the occasional "Kill the Jew!") are simply nauseating.
Some images are seared into my memory forever. I will never forget the two boys in their underwear — one with his eye socket hanging out of his face — asking his brother whether he thinks they're going to die, while the Hamas monster who had just thrown a grenade in their saferoom helps himself to a drink from their fridge, taking a casual break from the slaughter.
Neither will I ever forget the terrorists playing football with a severed head. Or the Thai migrant worker whose head is viciously hacked off with a garden hoe — another "Zionist colonizer" getting what he deserved, right?https://t.co/JvfJEtk8LA
Or the throngs of Gazans crowding around pickup trucks loaded with the mutilated corpses of Jewish women, filming and spitting on the bodies. Or the woman in Kibbutz Mefalsim, crouching and begging in vain for mercy.
There is some evidence of sexual violence in the video — the charred corpse of a young woman with her legs splayed and her genitals exposed — but not much. Apparently even Hamas draws a line somewhere: they are not as proud of raping Jewish women as they are of murdering them. Or, more likely, they simply didn't want to embarrass the delicate sensibilities of their legions of useful idiots in the West.
But yes — there was rape. Not "rape" in scare quotes, as the apologists would have it, but sadistic, murderous sexual violence, documented in a new damning new report by The Civil Commission, an independent Israeli women's rights NGO. (video summary here: https://t.co/LTTjiO1s7E)
Across its 180 pages, the report describes "a recurring pattern of rape and gang rape; sexual torture; mutilation; targeted shooting to the face, head and genital area; forced nudity; binding and restraint; genital burning; objects inserted into intimate areas; post-mortem sexual humiliation; and execution during or after sexual assault."
And it was premeditated and organized. The terrorists crossing into Israel carried printed Arabic-to-Hebrew phrasebooks with handy expressions like "take off your pants," "lie down," "spread your legs," and "don't make trouble." I wonder why they expected to need those particular phrases?
I know one thing: no civilized country on earth would tolerate the existence of an organization like Hamas on its border after October 7th. Not one. This includes every self-righteous Westerner currently lecturing Israel from thousands of kilometres away, without an inch of skin in the game.

MIssissippi's largest synagogue destroyed in an arson attack on the Sabbath. The fact this isn't the biggest story of the morning, or the day so far, should tell you just how normalized anti-Semitic action is becoming.

Australian Jews celebrating Hanukkah were brutally murdered by antisemitic terrorists simply for being Jewish. The normalization of antisemitic violence is vile and its spread worldwide alarming. Jews everywhere are under threat. And so is society. Everyone must unequivocally condemn and confront this growing danger.
Let there be no doubt:
Any pro-Palestinian events that take place on October 7th are a celebration of October 7th
The ground war didn’t start until 20 days later
Any pro-Palestinian events that take place on October 7th are a celebration of a time when Israel was still finding bodies and trying to identify them from their teeth
Getting to the World Series 10 years ago certainly was a total team effort. You can’t overlook the contributions of Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Kelly Johnson, who will be part of the Alumni Classic on September 13.

@Fidelity Many of us are waiting to see how this will be dealt with. It's fairly easy for many of us to simply move significant amounts of money from @Fidelity to another brokerage...
Important clarification on Anas al-Sharif 🚨
Prior to the strike, we obtained current intelligence indicating that Sharif was an active Hamas military wing operative at the time of his elimination. In addition, he received a salary from the Hamas terror group and terrorist supporters, Al-Jazeera, at the same time.
What we have presented publicly is only a small, declassified portion of our intelligence on al-Sharif leading up to the strike.
This information was obtained during ground operations in Gaza at two separate locations.
For some reason, the media is ignoring information presented by us because al-Sharif has said he is not a terrorist.
“Trust me, I am not a terrorist” apparently works if you are against Israel.
Will the world honestly check before reporting? Will there be criticism of Hamas’ exploitation of the press? Will anyone criticize Al-Jazeera for employing terrorists?
