My heart is with the people of Ukraine. For the past few years, we've dedicated this moment during The Rhythm of My Heart to the strength, courage and resilience of the Ukrainian people. Every night, the crowd joins together in support. In light of the recent horrific attacks on Kyiv, I hope this small tribute reminds you that people all over the world continue to stand with you.
“We welcome this move from the SHRC. For too long, women’s rights have been bottom of the pile when drawing up policy: at best, our rights have been neglected; worse, however, they have often been violated. So, it is good to see a Scottish organisation state so clearly that women’s rights are also human rights. We hope this trend continues.” https://t.co/2MaCFAdFx6
A brilliant piece by the principled Sally Dunsmore: I was branded a Nazi & told I would burn alive for defending free speech. I've run Oxford Literary Festival for 30 years. Our commitment to intellectual freedom will not be dampened by cowardly bullying

@Beathhigh@coutts38 Of course - I hadn’t remembered the timeline. Your poor dad. Poor you too - scary time. I think George McA and I came to visit you at Cameron Brig courtesy of auntie Jenny in the Morris Minor Vanden Plas. Some connection with your holiday job with the chickens too?
"Only a few hours after her book landed on my doorstep, I witnessed another reflection of the predatory activity that still structures Scotland. Lost Women is a banner designed by renowned Scottish artist Jenny Lupton and embroidered with immense skill by the women of Selkie Stitching.
It is a thing of terrible beauty, showing Botticelli’s Birth of Venus with the names of the women and girls killed by men in Scotland since 2009 stitched into her flowing locks. There are more than 200 women, aged from two to 86, each lost to the terrible violence that some men call love. “Until society stops killing women, this banner will never be finished,” said Jenny Lupton.
The meeting where the banner was unfurled was a gathering of women from all walks of life, organised by campaign group Women’s Rights Network Scotland to discuss how to tackle male violence against women"
Thank you @DalgetySusan for covering our event
The @SelkieStitching banner is beautiful
@KakaniaUk23410@BethRigby@vicderbyshire@SkyNews Gosh that’s your question? Doubting the victim of this horrendous catalogue of sexual abuse? She was drugged and raped by her husband and the men he invited into their bedroom. Is it not them who need to explain their abhorrent behaviour?
One of the most amazing rooms in Scotland. Inside the Chapel Royal at Falkland Palace in Falkland, Fife, once a favourite home of Scottish monarchs and heavily restored during a rebuild of parts of the palace in the late 19th century. More pics and info: https://t.co/IFKgyp75Uh
