@Pajetah @thevalianttiger The game freezes because the alpha maps have a different format vs the final retail game, this format changes during development because of new engine features, bugfixes, etc. I managed to load shipment by fixing the format during mapload + generating new imgpaks

@SteveoEditz @dougdagnabbit In case of Activision, these bugs have been reported literally years ago & confirmed (by Activision) but were never patched.

For the affected Call of Duty games: These bugs allow you to take over someone's computer. All you need is someones Steam account & victim must be online.

@SteveoEditz @dougdagnabbit The problem isn't that it is "outdated", the problem is that such bugs in games are hard to find and because of that it takes a while for people to find them. Once they do. These bugs are then reported to the security team of the company, this is usually rewarded.
