Frame rate matters here as well as accuracy in the distance between marking being standard or not. Most likely the error comes from insufficient frames from which to base precise timing.

When Chris Krebs, CISA's first director, declared the 2020 election the most secure in history, I immediately recognized him as a political hack.

About a month ago, I met with CISA and other DHS cybersecurity staff on an unrelated critical infrastructure security matter. I had to walk them through what constitutes effective security controls.

We lack effective election security controls.

Our elections are not secure, and once compromised, the systems are not designed to support forensic audits for fraud.
