@TracketPacer I like it. I'm a software engineer. I went to university but my degree is in math. I think of engineers as people who apply science to solve real world problems. So you were and are an engineer. Too often we engineers gatekeep the word to make ourselves feel superior.

My love of math led to a passion for software. It's still my passion and career. I've liked chess since I was young but never with such passion. So important to give children space and encouragement to find their passion.

@pati_gallardo Playing tennis regularly helps. Physical exercise plus I get to hit things, sometimes in anger, without causing harm. But when I'm at home I dive into coding and problem solving. It's my safe place.

@itskyleconner I have original run 2018 M3 with upgraded computer for FSD. It's gotten so bad I've given up on EAP. Plus we also lose cruise control with same problem. Not happy.

@pati_gallardo I picked good. I'm certainly not a superstar who knows all the theory of some lang or framework. But I've always been good at learning, making designs work, and communicating with those involved. Plus I've done it for a very long time and learned a thing or two along the way.

@rakyll Just started my 12th year of non-burnout work. They let us work at home, I have an excellent manager, the company is well funded and relatively stable, work expectations are clearly laid out, and work-life balance is strongly encouraged.
