It slams the door on Restructuring in a way and further increases the powers of the central govt on something as crucial to individual life.

VAT has no business as a NASS law. It is a state law. And each state can use it as a tool to develop. No sharing sharing.

The answer will reveal whether the reliefs increased or reduces in the new bill. If the reliefs reduces then it is another area that needs tackling.

Lowered VAT in one state may attract business &consumers to choose value brands. VAT as state law is true fiscal federalism. Everyth else is more of the old unitary order
