@_sholtodouglas I often see codex do this: "instead of assuming/doing this from memory let me check first", very often Opus just assumes/forgets and you have to call it out later.
Also I've noticed the correlation between 'Honest Answer:' and something extremely annoying following is high.
Sneak peak of the next Applied Geospatial post: "Escape the permanent underclass by gambling on weather" (title still a work in progress). A look at weather prediction markets on @Kalshi and @Polymarket.
@ludwigABAP Sorry to hear about the concussions: look up vestibular‑oculomotor rehab. Start slow and feel out the exercises, a lot of it is retraining the link between eyes + neck/head muscles. Reach out if you have any questions. I get these often from BJJ unfortunately.
@ashvardanian@tom_doerr Nope, maybe I should! I ended up using a separate faiss index/duckdb table and joining on ID so should be easy to drop in: just checking because I can't tell from the docs, no search over httpfs right?
@ashvardanian@tom_doerr FYI ran into issues with duckdb/vss: indexing 10M 384-dim vectors seems to take forever, and randomly crash, had to switch to faiss :( bummped because search via httpfs was super handy for sharing indexes
@CartoonsHateHer Most people have a totally wrong mental model of dogs: treating them like wild animals leads to better outcomes than treating them like 'family'/people.
