@NEMariner7@FenixTrophy@simmo_on_sport Neither can a lot at FC. It’s an ego trip organised for a few beers against teams with just a handful of fans playing a poorer standard than even we dish up. Teams are selected based on ownership, YouTube subscribers or ability to risk losing money on it. Teams drop out regularly
@leesutton71@FCUnitedWomen I tried it, went to 2 games but rattling round in an empty ground watching that standard of football on a Sunday isn’t for me. Isn’t for many of the rest of our members or fans either! crowds regularly below 100, I think they need to do a lot more to justify their continued wages
@FCUnitedMcr@FCUnitedWomen Celebrating narrowly avoiding back to back relegations like it’s a huge achievement 🤷♂️ look at the response you get to women’s team news - nobody cares. Why do we bother paying them to play in an empty stadium in front of less than 100 people when we haven’t got a pot to piss in?
@FCUnitedMcr Terrible first 80 minutes. On the plus side next weekend this season will be over & we can all forget about it & move on. Most of the players absolutely disinterested. whole fresh start badly needed.
Credit to the 1800 of us that turn up for all these dead rubbers.
@matthirtyfive@manc689908@JohnJackoDixon@FCUnitedMcr Sums it up. the current business plan assumed promotion & the financial rewards of the NLN this year that’s since been delayed a year but we’ve stagnated on the pitch and the debts have grown off it. crucial we get it right this year we can’t keep relying on fans bailing us out
@FCUnitedMcr After all the publicity having only 2357 there felt like a damp squib.
Disappointing on the pitch, Disappointing entertainment in Malcolm’s too - nothing anywhere to encourage anyone trying it out to come back.
Sooner we can finish & forget this season & move on the better.
@FCUnitedMcr Not entirely true. Everyone else forgotten about the one kit you didn’t bother asking the members about because one of the board members mums wanted a women’s shirt & it would have taken too much time so you decided to bypass the members?
@FCUnitedWomen It’s poor that this was still the last post from this account & no news or updates for two weeks. Apart from a potential cup replay it’s the last league game of the season tomorrow. A must win to avoid back to back relegations yet there’s been no promotion of it on here
@FCUnitedMcr Great win today, unbeaten at home in 4 months is an incredible achievement & going to the game is fun again. We just need the people that stayed away to come back. The only negative on a top day is the crowd of under 1500. That’s not sustainable, we need to increase that & fast
@FCUnitedMcr I’d be more comfortable with this if we hadn’t made our own hardworking club secretary redundant. That was the one bit of continuity we had as our office door is revolving as the club can’t keep senior staff.
Lets concentrate on getting our own house in order first
@FCUnitedMcr Good luck in the future Joe, understandable that he’s gone elsewhere for game time.
Hopefully this frees up some cash for Beesley but you have to question the wisdom of handing out so many contracts this year. Hopefully we’ll go back to players actually earning them
@RedYorkshire1@FCUnitedMcr No reason to be too downhearted, things are still looking up without a great penalty save we win that game tonight. this is an insanely tight league. We really need 3 points against blyth on Saturday. Need to make sure we don’t slip up
as that should be a home banker.
@FCUnitedMcr never a free kick, but a good point tonight anyway. if someone had said that we’d be sat mid table in January I don’t think I’d have believed them a month or two ago. Been a pretty good Christmas period all in all. be interesting to see if we rest some on Saturday or go for a win
@FCUnitedMcr Great performance today & great to have the atmosphere & excitement back. I’m looking forward to 4 games in 2 weeks. A few months ago I’d have been dreading that but there’s a buzz coming back around our matches, roll on Tuesday & Rylands
